Wait, they put a terrain park on Pharaoh? Why? I liked when it was contained on its own little area with that mid mountain double. They had the cool graffiti thing going too.

My guess is because Shawnee put a terrain park on a top-to-bottom run accessible from the high speed quad, so Camelback did the same to stay competitive with the park people.  I rarely skied the Pharaoh/Bactrian combo anyway because I don't really like either trail that much.

Assume is is following that snakey path - looks like it could be one of the cooler trails in NEPA.

Let is know how it is. I will be murdering the glades at Blue tomorrow.

You wouldn't do a season pass at Elk if it were closer?

I didn't hear any complaints about slow lifts from the Blue Crew last at Elk.  BTW did anyone keep track of how many runs you took during that half day?

There definitely were no complaints on anything day. If I had to guess north of 20 runs easily.

We aren’t the ones who complain about slow lifts. One of the best days of the season in PA for me!

You could rip up the slide when they had a lot of snow. You'd get yelled at though. It was fun.

Good move turning it into a trail. Still not agreeing with the terrain park move though.

Doesn't matter as I never will go to CB again probably.

Yeah I think there are plenty of PA mountains that have double black diamonds...this new trail sounds treacherous

Cliffhanger is a double black and it would a blue square in Vermont. The blue square trail Starburst (or something) at Killington is probably just as steep. This new trial at Camelback should be a triple or even quadruple black diamond, per comments on that news website.

Of course trail rankings indicate difficulty compared to other things on that mountain.
