I will probobly pick up a new pair of boots as well. At some point I will (hopefully) need a ski patrol jacket. I need new snow pants, goggle lenses, probobly gloves. skidude Posted September 10, 2005 Author Report Posted September 10, 2005 I got some new Diablos at Hood. Looking at getting a new pair of GS/SL skis, and a new helmet. Also picked up a pair of GS/SG poles at Hood for $20 (I love being tall, and getting a discount on poles they can't sell) Anyway, on a better note, I shouldn't need to get any new clothes this year (cept maybe a hoody or soemthing). Looking at probably a volkl GS skis (possibly rossi tho) and if I could find it, a new or used pair of Elan SLX ski from last year. Quote

Ski Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 Just picked up new K2 Apache Recons on Ebay. Hopefully they will arrive and are as advertised. 32748[/snapback] Congrats, Sib! Just FYI, I've never had a set of skis damaged from shipping. Did you get them from a high volume ski seller? I've bought from four different ones and might be able to tell you if they package well... Quote
skifreak Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 Sib, you didn't happen to buy them from Action Sports Outlet did you? Thats who I bought my gs:11's from and I noticed they had the K2 Apache Recons. If you did you will have no problems. My skis came quickly and undamaged (but the box was pretty banged up and about to split in two, its because it was DHL) They package the skis really well in wrapping and bubble wrap. My bindings came taped to the wrapping on the skis. No lie, it took almost 20-25 minutes just to get them unwrapped thats just how good they were wrapped. Quote
The_Public_Enemy Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 I'm planning on buying a pair of powder skis, since my family just got a condo in Vail. I'm thinking some K2 Made'n AK's, or a pair of Vokl Gotama's (my first choice, but they're sooo expensive). Quote
skigurl Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 i think thats where i got my GS Skis and they were really nice and had great packageing Quote
