GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted May 24, 2019 Author Report Posted May 24, 2019 Still snowing in the Colorado Rockies..breck extended their season to June 8th Quote
Barb Posted May 24, 2019 Report Posted May 24, 2019 My son has been up 4xs. Yesterday he said conditions were stormy and low visibility. They closed the lifts at 11 due to wind. I was going to go up with him today but he decided to earn some money and help his dad at work instead. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted May 29, 2019 Author Report Posted May 29, 2019 A little new snow at Loveland. Quote
Barb Posted May 29, 2019 Report Posted May 29, 2019 Schofield Pass is near Crested Butte. Always a snow plug there that blocks access to the road well into July. Will be interesting to see how long it takes to melt out. The 4 pass loop is a very popular backpacking trip that is in that area. My kids went to Abasin yesterday, said the snow quality was awful and visibility poor. But the older kid got his 10th day in this season while living in Hawaii so he is pretty stoked. Does you kid like going to school in Hawaii?? Quote

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk I couldn't imagine being out there this year when we were last year. Almost no snow to be found on trails and was difficult to even find patches higher than 10k. GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted May 31, 2019 Author Report Posted May 31, 2019 And after Tuesday’s shitty conditions this is how Wednesday dawned...2 months after blue mountain closed. Insane in the membrane Quote
Barb Posted May 31, 2019 Report Posted May 31, 2019 No Doug the younger one fell off the lift. And he was like 8 years old goofing around with his friends. He has learned his lesson. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

I’m sure he’ll change his mind a few times between now and graduation. Hawaii has a much higher cost of living than Florida and not as many jobs. Quote
