I just noticed that Ride Delaware ? had a long stretch of ski days in Colorado including Crested Butte. No trip reports or pictures?!  Boo

Don't worry. An epic Crested Butte TR is forthcoming.

Eldora is great today! Another 7” overnight, some fresh stashes and everything is choppy. But since I am fresh off taking a bump clinic last weekend the chop seems easier...and fun! Taking a break after 6 ungroomed runs.

"Frank Maimone died Saturday, Feb. 8, as a result of asphyxiation due to a headfirst fall into a tree well while skiing at Steamboat Resort, according to Routt County Coroner Rob Ryg. There was no trauma to his body, Ryg said."

I might have to go to northern libs to get some pizza in his honor.

I just booked my flights for Colorado in April.  Flying direct out of philly to Denver Tuesday 4-14 and back Tuesday 4-21...on southwest with early check in $326 could have been cheaper but the times are good with these flights.  I didn’t even know that southwest is no longer flying out of Newark oh well parking is a lot cheaper out of Philly.

@GrilledSteezeSandwich It might be closing weekend for some of the resort, according to OntheSnow.com, https://www.onthesnow.com/colorado/projected-closing.html, which means it could be a really fun party.

But WOOWoo! Let me know if you need recommendations. I lived there for 10 years. I'll likely be there around Friday, April 17-19 at least.

Thanks this is my 7th year in a row going to Colorado in April..before that I skied Aspen one year and created butte wat back in the day.  On my trips I’ve been to steamboat, beaver creek, Loveland copper and Abasin. I like staying in Silverthorne and mainly skiing copper Abasin and Loveland. Why did you move back to Philly.

What comment?

they posted a pic on FB of the 6er before  it was fixed and he posted something along the lines of "This thing has been limping around for 6 weeks and you guys draw attention to it?"

Check out the UDOT tweety page....pretty interesting stuff.  Avalanche at Snowbird 1 parking lot it 8-9' deep....sometime this morning.

Town of Alta is interlodged.

And here we are, looking at just a shit ton of rain, and then maybe some snow.  Exciting!

It was impressive to see what the avalanches did to the area on way to Alta this week. They were still posting intermittent closures, mostly at night to remove debris.
