This is great! Though I've achieved the ability to carry my RTM 81s (170 cm in length) without the need for a strap or magnetics. It has taken me many, many years to master this rare and uncanny ability.

I can't help but wonder if the magnets in the skis would somehow interact with the magnetic field of the earth and either cause speed and/or directional changes...scary!

I don't understand why the magnets are needed.  Who uses a strap when "shouldering" skis?  I've hiked many a bootpack and never had a problem with my skis separating.

I thought the brakes were for locking skis together?

Same!  That guys skis have no brakes!  Look out below!

Sometimes I can't even get mine apart when there's no magnet involved.
