Friday, Nov 8, 2019. I notice Elk's webcam is online, and is showing actual, real, not-man-made snow top to bottom.  Not skiable of course, looks like an inch or two in depth but still a good sign for the coming season.

How is that not skiable?

Owing to perspective, from age and experience.  If I were like 60 years younger yes maybe it would be.

Pic below is what I saw, webcam view has now changed. Nice to see top to bottom snow of the natural variety.

anything is skiable with the right amount of dedication, and disregard to your bases. boulder has some of the best glade skiing in PA with this attitude.

Elk looking nice for mid November. Looks like they blew on Tunkhannock Susquehanna East west and probably Tioga. The rest is natural. Photo taken 11/15 at 4:30pm
