The 112s are Liberty Origins. Very soft playful ski. The rustlers are probably the better call, but I just put the LIbertys in the bag.... Why not bring both?? 1 Quote

GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 11, 2020 Author Report Posted March 11, 2020 TNT have a good travel day...where are you staying in Jackson hole? Bivouac area should still have midwinter chalk tomorrow..same with thunder trail and some of the other northerly facing terrain. Supposed to be pretty warm the next few days Saturday and more likely Sunday AM could be pow days. Good visibility looks to be on the order which is +++++ Quote
CaptDave Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 Back in Jackson 2020 Part Deux ... So not a lot to write about past few days. I was hearing people were death sliding down Rendevous Bowl Sunday cause it was just rock solid. The snow Tuesday was much needed but it was a heavier wet snow. As afternoon went on the hard pack stuff resurfaced. A few tram rides Tues and Wed morning but mostly exploring thunder and sublette looking for stashes Thursday morning was hardpack but not unexpected with the 40s most week and teens at night. So working around other side in Casper and Apre Vous lifts. They softened nice with afternoon corn but a few spots exposed to wind were stayed bulletproof all day Took Friday off cause I think it would have been a repeat of Thurs I think. Considered a day at Targhee but just didn’t happen. So ended up with a little trip off the beaten path. Drove up to Teton Pass To check it out .....wow lots of line options up there. Crossed over to Idaho to the town of Victor. Different works over there from Jackson. Early dinner a at place called West Side Yard ... looks like it’s themed on scrap metal. That chair was the most solid and heavy chair ever seen or sat in. Good lager from Teton Brewing. Give it try sometime Curious to see what the lines are like this weekend with the storm forecast and the Corona precautions they just implemented. 🙁 8 Quote

GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 15, 2020 Author Report Posted March 15, 2020 Jackson hole received 23” of new snow and they abruptly decided to close for the season this morning. Blue mountain opened for the season before Jackson hole and remained open longer... 1 Quote

C1erArt Posted March 26, 2020 Report Posted March 26, 2020 Back in the day when there was a gnarly whitewater drop to run, I always wanted to see someone screwing up trying to run it to see what the worst case was. 1 Quote

RidgeRacer Posted May 4, 2020 Report Posted May 4, 2020 WowIt's almost as if the Tetons are a really popular place that most people have heard of. Quote
