I've been following Cody Townsend since he started the Fifty Project, a project to ski the fifty most iconic and classic backcountry lines in North America. There are some really great videos of earlier trips.

Today's episode of Mt. Washington just dropped. Check it out.

The fact that a Rocky Mountain extreme skier travelled to the east coast is huge.

He still has another line on the east coast to knock off.

In the chic chocs?

Nope, well north of the chic chocs. Polar star couloir on baffin island. Seems like a logistical nightmare to get to, let alone time correctly for favorable conditions. I'd guess it'd have to be a late spring mission when the chance of new snow is low, but i'm not the one tackling these so what do i know.

My cousin and I looked into going here, just getting to Baffin is difficult and to there is pretty complicated. You gotta get hooked up with some native peoples and then they can ferry your ass out there to sleep on the ice. It's the middle of nowhere but legitimately the middle of nowhere.

There is a peak up there that has been summited by only two Canadians, nobody goes to baffin.
