It's not uncommon in Europe to start at one place and end your day miles away at another. You put your shoes in the backpack not in a lodge or your car. And like Toast said, a shovel, beacon, and a probe if you're going off piste as they say in Europe. 2 Quote
Popular Post AtomicSkier Posted March 9, 2020 Popular Post Report Posted March 9, 2020 As for the backpack? Shovel, probe, puffy, water, etc. I have a 22L pack and is perfect for days like today. I also use my pack to carry my skis up boot pack. As for today. Wow. We encountered every conditions and we were everywhere. We met up with our guide at 8:45am. We skied 9am to 3:45pm. We got our guide drunk afterwards and were still in our boots at 6:30pm. We started across the valley in Brunson which has way trees (“forests”). Plenty of deep turns. At about 12:30 we headed up into the alpine in Verbier as the sun was starting to poke out. Our first run was totally socked in so we stopped for a coffee. 15 minutes later it was completely clear so we headed up for some steeps, some pow, and some stuff to jump off of. I don’t think I’ve ever covered as much ground or had as much fun on skis compared to today. Some pictures from today. As soon as Kevin gets off his ass and gets us the GoPro pictures, there will be some awesome shots of @toast21602 and I eating total shit. 9 2 1 Quote
toast21602 Posted March 9, 2020 Author Report Posted March 9, 2020 (edited) Sure, the skiing was great today. But last night we got drunk and ate a bunch of meat and cheese in a cheese cave. Edited March 10, 2020 by toast21602 8 Quote

moe ghoul Posted March 10, 2020 Report Posted March 10, 2020 Winningest trip posted on PASR this year. That's living the dream. No worries about Corona, 1st sign of it they'll blow the tunnels and shut down incoming transportation. Being stuck there for a few weeks wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. This thread literally needs some cow bell to be all time! 2 2 Quote

Popular Post toast21602 Posted March 10, 2020 Author Popular Post Report Posted March 10, 2020 Snowy day here in Switzerland with @KevinThomas and @AtomicSkier Woke up to snow falling and it’s still coming down in the mountains. Because of the snow and cloud cover we stayed low and the entire morning was over in Bruson. Most of the day was off piste and in the forests, obviously. The snow was deep, the skiing was great. We got super wet from all the snow and were still a little beat up from the guided adventures yesterday so called it shortly after 1:00. Tomorrow should be good, too. 11 3 Quote
AtomicSkier Posted March 10, 2020 Report Posted March 10, 2020 Another fun day in the mountains here in Verbier. It was snowing much harder than yesterday, but the visibility was also worse. Temps remained pretty warm which was causing some seriously heavy snow down low and mediumish density up high. We skied Bruson today as it has the best forests (trees). After some super smooth groomer pow, we broke trail on a reasonably long traverse out into the forest. Snow was even deeper today compared to yesterday. Two vids that @KevinThomas shot of me deep in the forest. 7 Quote
