Yeah its a golf course now. I don't think anything is left to tell skiing went on there.

There's an even more bizarre NJ ski hill south of there. Holly Mountain.

The next area on my list is probably going to be Split Rock. If anyone remembers skiing or riding there, and has any stories or images/resources/links to share, I'd be super grateful and I'll make sure to mention your name.

Apple Hill operated from 1962 until 1978. Does anyone here remember skiing there?

My dad did once. One of the three times he skied. The other two were at a PlayBoy ski hill in Lake Geneva Wisconsin when he was in the Navy.

My grandparents were friends with Fritz Kramer who owned Apple Hill..when my mom was a kid Apple hill was the little place to ski and Doe mountain was the big place. My dad learned to ski at Vernon Valley/Great Gorge which had a playboy club in the 70s I believe.

Skiing at places with playboy clubs seems to be a theme.

I drove by one in Conshohocken the other week. Totally forget it was even there. Think it was a private club. I’ll try to get a pic whenever I get back by there.

Wissahickon Ski Club?

I think the club itself is still active, but I don't know if they operate the lift anymore.

I should try getting in touch with them. Might be a cool place to visit one of these winters if they are ever open.
