Ride Delaware ? Posted September 20, 2020 Report Posted September 20, 2020 Still impressive, even if it doesn’t come out as clean as you hoped. I’m interested to see the finished edge. Quote
Mixilplix Posted September 20, 2020 Author Report Posted September 20, 2020 Removed the clamps/wax paper and tape....did a little bit of sanding.....One side came out really nice...The other has a couple of small voids that I will have fill with some epoxy... But for not knowing what I'm doing I'm happy with the results....Cause I was really doubting myself when I was doing the glue up.... There are some other very minor issues but I figure they are going to get beat up anyway... Put the halves together and have a slight gap in the middle...maybe a 64th of an inch....Still have to do final sanding to close that up.... I guess I can order up some bindings now.... Sometimes you get great results when you have no clue what the fuck you are doing.... 7 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted September 20, 2020 Report Posted September 20, 2020 Are you going to make your own skins? How long do you think this project took? 2 Quote
indiggio Posted September 21, 2020 Report Posted September 21, 2020 All this splitboard talk sparked a memory of something I saw out in Montana... 1 Quote
Mixilplix Posted October 13, 2020 Author Report Posted October 13, 2020 Touring bindings and associated hardware finally arrived..... 5 1 Quote
Mixilplix Posted October 18, 2020 Author Report Posted October 18, 2020 Got most of the hardware mocked up for final assembly.....Just need to download the touring binding template....Voile's templates leave a lot to be desired too....but made everything work....Drill press made drilling the holes easy.....They even give you little Ptex discs for the t nuts....I am so curious about how this board will ride.... 8 Quote
