Popular Post GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted January 17, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted January 17, 2021 Hey All, I’m back from another fun day at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 720am and it as 33 degreees under overcast sky’s with a strong west wind. In the house were Atomic Jeff, Johnny Law, Mixilplix, MBike Mike, NMSki, Mrs. Snowbunski, Indiggio, BenM, JFDan, Matt Edge, Zack, Toast, Justo, KevinThomas, Tele Matt, Enjorales, Pops, Bethlehem ford Guy, west Chester homeys,’Schifdawg, Antman, TP4 and many others. The lineup for first chair at 8am was massive..probably 150 people..I skied challenge first and it wasn’t that good..firmish, not that smooth and the snow was falling apart fast. Upper Main Street was slightly better and lower Main Street was rough. Paradise was pretty bad sandy crud and lazy mile was alright. My favorite run was tuts lane to connector to lower widowmaker to midway to little gap to yeti to Burma to shuttle to lower park. It was sausage Sunday and Enjorales said it would be a pretty low key SS today so there was just multiple kinds of sausage, pork loin, steak, burger sliders and Thai sliders and grilledsteeze..the lot was cold even though it was almost 40 degrees out the wind was brisk and the clouds were thick. All in all despite less than optimal ski conditions it was a fun day..JADIP 12 2 Quote

Johnny Law Posted January 18, 2021 Report Posted January 18, 2021 Snow was pretty rowdy today but the lot and enjo's sublime cooking made it an excellent one to spend at blue 2 Quote
Schif Posted January 18, 2021 Report Posted January 18, 2021 Any Sunday where I spend twice as long in the lot as I do on the snow is a fine day. Thanks again to @enjoralas for showing my taste buds a good time. 1 Quote
antman12 Posted January 18, 2021 Report Posted January 18, 2021 The sugar.. errr I mean snow was pretty bad. Once the sun came out around 10 it was getting better but the crowds were out by then and not worth it. Oh well. 1 Quote
toast21602 Posted January 18, 2021 Report Posted January 18, 2021 Conditions were trash yesterday... especially compared to Saturday. Still always good to hang with everyone and drink a beverage or two. 1 Quote
RidgeRacer Posted January 18, 2021 Report Posted January 18, 2021 Debating on tonight. Have a feeling conditions could be ass though. Quote
Justo8484 Posted January 18, 2021 Report Posted January 18, 2021 Aside from the cookie minefield of opening weekend, yesterday was probably worst conditions I’ve skied this season. The shape/spacing of the bumps wasn’t bad, but they were definitely firm and I didn’t feel like swapping to narrower skis. Widow maker stayed good all morning until about 11, then somehow it just crumbled into a cookie heap. Conditions aside, what’s up with the shit show in the quad and six pack lift lines? Nobody corralling, counting, directing, yelling at dick nosers for being inconsiderate idiots. Seems kinda ridiculous that on a holiday weekend morning, there would be no employee presence at the lift lines at all aside from the people bumping chairs. We mostly skied off the Main Street chair to avoid the chaos.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 3 Quote

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk All of the lift line guy, mask police, etc has been really sporadic, and weird as to when these people were there. Saturday, (or was it Sunday?) there was an armed security guard telling people that to go through the gates, they had to be properly wearing a mask. Then nothing after that. no liftline guy, no mask police, no armed security guard presence. Saturday, there were two employees kind of at either end of the passholders line calling people out for masks. Friday, like Jan 1st, it wasnt crowded, and there was the lifline guy there organizing the line, that really didnt need organizing as much as any other day. weird. Maybe its a staffing issue, which i get. I would think the employees would want people to wear masks, for their protection as well, but they seem to just kind of go with it. There was a ski patrol dude in line yesterday with his mask around his chin. Employees should be setting the example. I hope it doesnt continue to go this way. I just cant figure out why people just cant fucking wear a mask. 3 1 1 Quote
