I’m in Denver on layover right now on Southwest.  Might get some more of those tamales I had on the way out here.

My bad for some reason I thought you were flying American through Dallas. Do you like tamales better than tacos?  I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had them.

Cant wait to hear about it in the lot. The house was fun - If only we were able to get a photo of everyone wearing their matching hot tub robes on the stairs! @AtomicSkier @NMSKI@Johnny Law I wanted to replace the elk photo that was above the fireplace with a matching robe pic. So glad I got to meet the famous @Barb too! She’s even better in person.

@GrilledSteezeSandwich- I don’t have a great trip report to post. I did some uphill touring on Tuesday-Thursday since I had work

Before Telluride, I never really had a favorite ski resort. There were things I liked about certain resorts but I never got the full package until... Telluride.

I left Telluride on Thursday and started to think about what it would take to live in a ski town like telluride. After 6.5 hours, I was in Denver again. I started my drive back east on Friday night and after 24 hours of driving I’m finally home in Pennsylvania.

in some delusion on i-70, I decided to stop briefly in Casey, IL.... The home of the worlds largest wooden chair and largest wind chim, among other things 😂 I highly recommend you save your time. All vacations for 2021 are downhill from here especially in the Midwest.

I hope to not drive anywhere for a very long time, except for an occasional trip to Bleu or to the wine store so I have something to drink while l catch up on your gnarly ski-fari adventures. Have fun!

On road trips I also like to stop to see goofy things like a giant chair. It's part of the fun. 

In 2017 I did almost the same exact drive you just did - Denver to PA in 24 hours (two 12 hour days) via I-70.  During the final leg from St. Louis to home, my car was stopped only 10 minutes total for two gas stops. Otherwise I kept on driving because I just wanted to be finished. Didn't even feel like stopping at the Wizard of Oz museum 💁‍♂️

Skied for a few hours this morning at Crested Butte.  Got in line around 8:45am, and was surprised when they started loading around 8:50am.  I was at the top for after my second lift ride by 9:15am 😁 Goal today was to just cruise around, get the lay of the land, and get familiar with navigation.  Rode most of the lifts seeing where the good terrain and good groomers are. 

Few observations:

1) I think I'll do my daily hour-ish of skiing at noon to get full light on the mountain.  My dark lens let me a little blind at some spots first thing 😎

2) The views are spectacular

3) There are some serious cheese grater rocks out there 😳

This is grate but why didn't you pair up with the person in front of you to save 5 seconds? The chair looks wide enough to separate by 6 feet. Asking for a friend @eaf

Daily update .... more lunch time skiing.  Pretty gray/flat light today, so it was 3 and done for me today.  Was nice to get out, make a few turns, and enjoy the fresh air.  Rumor is that @mute1080 is going to get his butt to the butte.

Trash is out!  

I haven't had a ton of time to explore yet.  Friday will be a longer ski day for me I think, so I'll start exploring more.  I've just been enjoying the soft-ish off trail snow, and same fast groomers.

Decided to change it up today, and ski after work, as I had a lot going on today.  Skied for about 90 minutes...enjoyed some sunny groomers and some double diamond extreme terrain.  Like @GrilledSteezeSandwich said, I love the sun, and I was enjoying myself today.
