skifreak Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 A-basin and Loveland are both making snow. Loveland has been making it for the past two days and I think A-basin had just started. I wonder who will open first. Won't be much longer for us, Saturday is October. Bring on the snow Quote

Sno Mountain Skier Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 For Loveland, and A basin are these just test, or is it the real deal. Are they blowing snow to open up trails. Cuz if so that would be sick. Quote
skifreak Posted September 27, 2005 Author Report Posted September 27, 2005 I think its for real. They usually start blowing around this time of year. Its also usually to see who is first to open in the nation. Quote
skidude Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 I think its to open trails...If they can..Then again the weather doesn't look like it will cooperate too much Quote
Sno Mountain Skier Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 I looks as if we are gonna hit the 30's thursday night into friday, The low is to be around 38. How nice would that be. If I didnt have school friday, a camp out in the cold would definetly be made. Quote

skimom Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 10/10/05 CO Snow Report: --OVERALL SITUATION TODAY - This morning snow levels are running close to 8,000 feet (in the mountains, lower on the front range...near 5,000 feet). The closed low pressure system is moving east of the 4-corners area making for more of an easterly upper level wind flow. Areas east of and closer to the divide will do best, as far as accumulating snow is concerned. It looks, according to SNOTEL weather sites, as if between 5 and 10 inches of snow have fallen in many resort areas between Eagle, Summit and Grand Counties, with 14" at Berthoud Pass Quote
Sno Mountain Skier Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 I have heard that both Loveland , and A Basin are opening on Thursday. Quote
