TR 2/13/2021 - Lo Vis, Soft Bumps, & Trees

Today was probably the best day I’ve had at Montage. Snow conditions were prime, soft western-style bumps were to be had, and all the trees were in play. It wasn’t as crowded as I had expected, which was also nice. Could have done without the mtn being socked in. This TR can’t hold a candle to AtomicJeff’s skifari in CO....but here are some pics anyways.

 

Nice bumps on the right side of Smoke.

 

 

 

View from the bottom. That right side forms a nice little chute.

Nice little drop in between upper fast track and runaway.

 

 

 

More trees along Fast Track. Had to make sure to exit at the right time before getting cliffed out.

 

 

 

It would be awesome if Montage would thin out this bowl btwn Boomer and White Lightning.

 

 

 

Frozen mist was sticking to all the metal surfaces, and my goggles.

Also I’ve never heard “Cliffed Out” used in a PA report..wow just wow.

I’ve been trying to go Tuesdays but is hasn’t worked out with the weather recently.

Right??? There’s a series of cliffs under the Long Haul lift. They usually don’t come into play in normal PA winters.
