I’m back from a big day at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot before 720am and it was in the low 40s with the sun rising over the Blue mountain.  In the house were JFDan, Atomic Jeff, BenM, PARidge, Pops, Enjorales, Ryan, Root, Mute, Boo Bear, PSUFly, Matt edge, Charles, Spider, Faldo, Mixilplix, TP4, VTMark and many more. 

 

The usual fuckery at the Gates with some opening earlier and second civilian sic pack of the season.  First run upper Main Street..was a little like a glory hole..narrow and choppy..you thought I was gonna say sticky. Lower Main Street was good. Lazy mike was firm and not nearly enough snow for falls to open. Midway was alright some cookies...Burma was pretty solid..

 

In addition to spring weather was the lack of crowds.  With Blue charging $80 for half day tickets and $120 for full day for 15 runs, they left a lot of lift tickets on the table.  I’m sure there will be a few moderately busy days midweek but with the amount of tickets available and sold lift lines won’t be an issue. 

 

In the lot was fun had a few beers including an Xmas beer from Toast..thank you and some beef, pork and sausage.  Conditions weren’t mad Steezy but some more terrain is open and we are skiing here over 1,000 vertical feet in MASH. Mid Atlantic ski hell. JADIP.

For as much as conditions sucked, it was a really fun day. Great seeing everyone and being back on a proper lift.

Missed this view. Time flew by out there today since it felt like skiing a new mountain.

I regret getting there for opening bell. I figured it would be crowded but it wasn’t…at all. 

Conditions were pretty bad for the first hour but around 930 it really started to soften up and got MUCH better under the beautiful sun. 
 

Having the 6 back was great!!!!

Midway and left side of lower Main rode fantastic....Everything else was meh ...Would have been a nice morning to sleep in an extra hour...Great to be in the Valley with everyone...Big Thanks to @enjoralas on the grill...

Great to be back in the Valley lot.  Snow definitely softened up...last 2 runs on lazy were decent but crowded

Upper main street.......LOL.  

upper midway, middle midway, and lower midway were pretty fun i thought.  Burma was ok, lazy was decent.

Fun day. Positive spin... We've definitely skied worse. The issue for me was the amount of green and brown coupled with the shitty forecast this week. Need some real sustained cold. Hopefully after this week. Blue's definitely doing what they can so props to them for that. fun hanging out as well. Good day

Fun day opening up the Valley with everyone. Couldn’t stick around for sausage Sunday but Midway to Lower Main made it worth coming up.
