Popular Post Johnny Law Posted March 14, 2022 Popular Post Report Posted March 14, 2022 Rode this morning from 9 to 11, BFG crew in the house and the triumphant return of C1er. Dude was spry af, if you didn't know you wouldn't know and super good to see him back in the house. Mini root and actual root were also there. First run down razors was a dream, it was effortless perfect grip cord. I did it four times in a row. Rotd was switch, I'm a big switch guy but it was a perfect carpet to put the hammer down and harder full grip snow. Upper headwall of challenge and a few spots on side had some firmness but where otherwise perfect. TCS is just ok a little more crumbly over there. Moderate crowds, three busses of old heads is in the house for some reason and lots of people buying passes which is always good. Temps are picking up fast and shit was starting to get diabetes when I left. Razors headwall was pretty choppy though everyone and there brother was on it. 13 1 Quote

AirheadD8 Posted March 14, 2022 Report Posted March 14, 2022 Stopped for some slush slides pretty much as I expected except Barneys is awesome. Skiing in the shadows as much as possible so I don’t double eject over my tips. Tonight should be good. Quote
C1erArt Posted March 15, 2022 Report Posted March 15, 2022 MainStreet and Widowmaker great too. Crowds picked up about 1130. Didn’t have six pack running in the morning. 1 Quote
momskeeztoo Posted March 15, 2022 Report Posted March 15, 2022 They started the 6 pack around noon, kept quad open. Then around 4 pm back to quad only. I keep hearing via grapevine 3/20 is last day, but nothing official. Quote

I don't know about anybody else but I would like to hear something definite from them if closing day really was just 5 days away... 1 Quote

Yea, if that was the case you’d think Blue would’ve posted to their socials and website by now. FWIW, you can currently buy day tickets thru March 29th on their website. RidgeRacer Posted March 15, 2022 Report Posted March 15, 2022 I guess they want to see how many they sell through the 29th. If they don't sell many then perhaps they'll call it this weekend. I assume if people are buying up the tickets for next week now then they'll remain open...tell your friends and family! 1 Quote
AirheadD8 Posted March 15, 2022 Report Posted March 15, 2022 Temperatures not looking good. I don’t see any below freezing temperatures in the next 10 days. Quote

I sort of wondered if they were using that as a guage as to whether or not the lifts would continue to spin, like if XX number of tix is break even for expenses, and they sell XXX, they know they make some cash, and dont "leave money on the table" 2 Quote

Hell, if they would mow that shit sticking up all over the place on NMDW, we could ski there until May. Not every trail has to be open for them to have skiing. 1 Quote
Schif Posted March 15, 2022 Report Posted March 15, 2022 I'm planning on at least 2 more weeks at Blue. Can't think of any reason not to at this point. Quote

That doesn’t matter as long as it gets in the 30s and even 40s at night the snow sets up. They have way more base than last year at this time plus they still are getting plenty of day ticket buyers. I hypothesize that they told employees that they weren’t scheduling lessons and stuff after the 20th and it got legs as the closing day. 1 Quote
