Popular Post Mixilplix Posted January 19, 2023 Popular Post Report Posted January 19, 2023 Another night session in the books...Conditions took you from zero to hero in one run.....But conditions shouldn't be like this in January...Got two NASTSAR runs in....Lift lines started to get painful around seven ....Fun night again...after many years of not riding at night it feels good to be out at night again.... 10 1 Quote

antman12 Posted January 21, 2023 Author Report Posted January 21, 2023 Spent the past 2days up there. MUCH improved since the last time I was there though. Was great that they had both A&B lift open at 9 so there were No lift lines at all this morning till I left at 11. 2 Quote

Popular Post Mixilplix Posted January 24, 2023 Popular Post Report Posted January 24, 2023 Up there again tonight..Conditions were of the snow cone variety....Fast and pretty smooth....Some minor bumps on Sassy and it's still full width...The trail going around the back is really thin...Riding across semi clear ice/slush....The bottom of Timberline is starting to get thin also..Windy and a bit chilly....Snowed a little too......Place was ghosted ....and the snow was fine....Nice way to spend two hours after work.... 11 1 1 Quote
toast21602 Posted January 24, 2023 Report Posted January 24, 2023 Highlight is definitely the parking lot photo. Brilliant park job. 1 1 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted January 24, 2023 Report Posted January 24, 2023 My bar friend who I gave my buddy pass to is going to BC Wednesday night for their deal. He was a big bmx rider back in the day and still enjoys flatland tricks and BFFs with the architect who designed the Bethlehem skate park by the casino. I know this isn’t ski footage but it’s freaking rad..this is a video of him from 1989 in Allentown. Quote

Also, I remember the old snack shack but never saw it open…didn’t they have a restroom building near by? that trail seems similar to the double black diamond at spring mountain, which they keep on their trail map but probably hasn’t been open in 20+ years 2 Quote

Some kid hit a rock and was seriously injured and then I've never seen it open again. 1 Quote
rgrwilco Posted January 26, 2023 Report Posted January 26, 2023 That trail is super flat, but the real tragedy is what they did to timberline. It used to be a nice narrow winding trail, now its just a trail. before After 1 Quote
mgguy Posted January 27, 2023 Report Posted January 27, 2023 TRAIL REPORT 1-27- Rolled in at 8:30 to a fairly mild morning, nice blue sky. Extremely surprised by conditions! Somehow they keep finding snow. No bare spots anywhere. Snow to start was pretty firm and fast. After a couple of runs on Kodiak went over to F chair side. Polar Bear was sweet, Timberline fast, Broadway also fast. Snow started to soften but remained fast and easy to set edges. Sasquatch was nice and firm and the wife decided to lap it a few times. No real ROTD as all of the trails were pretty much the same. Last run was Black Bear Park and it did not disappoint. Was surprised at the crowd today, was more like a Saturday than a Friday. Called it a day right before 11. Looking forward to tomorrow early! 3 Quote

antman12 Posted January 29, 2023 Author Report Posted January 29, 2023 (edited) Last night was f*cking terrible. Boot high sugar piles on ice. Brutal. But I got 6 runs in with my niece so all good 🥰. Very proud of how much better she’s gotten since she first started. Look forward to going with her again soon with better conditions. Turned around and did double duty and was up this morning from 845-11 with cuzzie. Little better than last night and was only gonna get better as it got warmer. Getting the itch to fly. The last three days there’s been a ton of bus traffic. Lot #6 had cars today too. 1 Quote
Mixilplix Posted January 31, 2023 Report Posted January 31, 2023 Was up there tonight for little over an hour...Fast soft snow cone stuff.....Only steep open was sasquatch...Which is getting some bumps on it...and while the snow was good there are a ton of brown/thins spots....Hopefully temps go in there favor and they can get some snow down....Fun night again and the place was empty...Went inside to use the bar restroom and the lodge still looks pretty good for being 20 some years old....... 4 Quote
