Most of the lifts have been closed for days now. Wind chills around -45 to -50. It's warming up tomorrow. I skied today but that was the first time since last Thursday. Yes I had heard that! The weather looks great this week Quote
mbike-ski Posted Friday at 10:37 PM Report Posted Friday at 10:37 PM (edited) After the thaw and rain yesterday was expecting everything to be locked in, pleasantly surprised to find pixie dust on corduroy crust morning conditions and views exceeded expectations in a groomer zoomer sort of way Snow stayed grippy and edge able all day as winds and clouds increased enough to shut down the Mt. Ellen lifts and head to Lawsons Edited Friday at 10:39 PM by mbike-ski 8 Quote
mbike-ski Posted Monday at 05:03 PM Report Posted Monday at 05:03 PM Friday at Mt. Ellen was great in the morning if you stayed on the groomers, they stayed nice and grippy all day as the clouds and wind moved in. Enough to close the lifts a little early around 3 but we had had it by then anyway. Finished the day with a stop at Lawson's and American Flatbread, Saturday put the sugar in Sugarbush, checked out Lincoln Peak. Ungroomed trails looked enticing but had you quickly looking to exit back on to the groomers. Mrs SnoBunSki thought the conditions were better than Friday but the flat light and another day of groomers left me somewhat uninspired so we headed back to Lawson's again, then dinner at Mad Taco. Love the eats and drink in the Mad River Valley! Sunday we we stopped and ski'd Pico on the way home for more of the same, capping off a nice weekend of getting your carve on some firm cord, some great food, company and beers! 4 Quote

I think it's the dark winters with nothing else to do but how does one goofy state with like 10 people have soooo much good beer and food. How'd coverage look ? I want to head up next weekend/after blue.... 1 1 Quote

I don't know how 'bush works their spring skiing but with the early season TBD passes I get another visit after April 1 so planning on heading up again Quote
