DiMe
Wrapping up a nice afternoon riding the flobee lift back to the lot visiting The Taj for the first time today. I was saddened to find the top to bottom lift was not open nor was there a full snow path to get from the top of Flobee to the Iron Horse lift to make the experience feel like a larger mountain. They had made some snow last night and the first chair I found was the Iron Horse which let me to a park vacant of features and a few hard cord groomers. Not a big fan of the boomer groomers I went in search of the steeps which oddly on this mountain are at the bottom section 😳. The only trail open was Cannonballs which I lapped about 16 or 17 times. The snow on Cannonballs was a mix of chunky hard to spring corn depending if it was in the shade or hit by the sun. To me Cannonballs was worth the $40 price of admission. Looks like they will have more open tomorrow. Next up Camelback Sunday. No people anywhere till after 5. All in all a great late spring day at The Taj! DiMe
I meant to say no snow path from Iron Horse trails connecting to Cannonballs w/o going uphill.
Johnny Law
I rode this morning, classic PA day, grey and windy and colder than the temps. They blew last night maybe but to little effect. There was some blown on some ti rarees and slow spots but only the same stuff was open. All the north face stuff went but was closed for 10ft patches of brown. I rode everything open but mostly cannonball a thousand times. It was a super fun rolly Brownstown with a little bit of ripping. Absolutely nobody was there but super nice of them to stay open. 8
