That's rad, they are greasing their squeaky wheels @GrilledSteezeSandwich . I was triggered at Hershey Park on Saturday because all the coasters were closed down except Laugh Track. And my $10 hot cocoa was ice cold. Hershey corporate management delivered with a free pass to return so that's pretty radical

Yeah Hershey closes their coasters when it's below 37 or 38 degrees or something.   End of next week looks to be warmer, if you go back then, more should be open.   Not sure if you've been on wildcats revenge yet but it's probably my favorite in the park

I heard a rumor that the fixed grip won't pass inspection. This rumor was on the Facebook.

Marc Antony has had the chairs removed for years. It doesn't run and would need a bunch of repairs at this point. Cleo probably never runs anymore. Bailey might still run every now and then since it has access to the main base area which Cleo doesn't.

At some point they need a minimum of two new lifts: a replacement for the Stevenson and another high speed 6 or 4 where the Bailey is sited.

Then they need to address all the mid-mountain lifts which are also in a bad state. Glen, Raceway and that lift over by Birches all need to be replaced sooner than later. They are vintage 70s machines and CBK isn't the type of people who care for classic machines which is ironic since they have so many of them.

Word on the Facebook street is Camelback's lift is broken again today, on a Saturday. Good thing I haven't been wasting my time going there. I'm starting to think the Peak2Peak pass was a complete waste of money. I will probably demand a refund. If they won't refund I will probably start a class action lawsuit.

I'll be skipping skiing this weekend since I'm hanging with my brahs. I'll prob ski a lot next week and weekend. Might drive to Hunter on Christmas Day. Or maybe stay with Ski2Live at Stowe if he has a a spare bunk bed at the budget motel he's staying at and maybe we can split an expired Hershey chocolate bar for sustinence.

Hershey's chocolate bars don't expire. They age.

Even funnier is the radio keeps advertising this $40 deal for camelback and they say enjoy 39 trails

This is getting good. People who drove to Camelback today to ski got to experience a Wally World moment. They should spend some snow making money on a camel out front that says, "sorry folks, mountain's closed".

i never really thought about that.  High speeds are susceptible to winds for sure, but that bubble just might as well be a sail.  Silliest thing on a lift that goes like 2000 feet ever.  There is actually a fixed grip right next to it, but i would assume based on the recent happenings at that place, its basically a monument.

Jeff and I saw some chairs swaying like crazy on Christmas day, and i dont remember it being windy.  That place is such a mess this year.  Like, embarrassingly fucked up.

It's the same root cause as everything else.  In their eternal quest to suck every last penny possible out of the place they found the limit where people stop coming because the experience is shit.

The real question is how much do they even care ? Skiing is a shitty business and I have to believe all the other shit they have going on makes way more money so from a business perspective replacing lifts or doing maintenance doesn't make alot of sense if you believe you don't need the skiing to bring them in the door.

Blue for all it's many faults only really has skiing to make money from so the skiing at least in theory can never be that bad.
