I was going to go on Presidents Day but my driveway and car were encased in stupid ice. Then I heard thru telegram message via Morse code that lifts were delayed at Camelback anyway so I'm glad I didn't waste my time. I was watching the webcams as people lolly gagged around at the base watching empty chairs of the BB6 go up at slow rates of speed. I have better things to do with my time like SUJOPO and post Camelback troll memes on Facebook Edited February 19 by saltyant 1 Quote

I'm not sure if anything was posted their website about it, but they sent emails iirc. I haven't seen any emails today about passes being on sale yet Quote

It's the getting to the part on the snow that's just a heaping helping of bullshit. I'm tired of being in such a bad mood when I'm headed out to do something I love. Maybe a year missing out will change his attitude. But yes, Grayson does seem to be more into it, and even though he also doesn't like getting up early (or going to bed on time the night before which would make all the difference) he cooperates at least. I really wish the student pass would qualify for the afternoon Adventure Camp, that would be the no brainer solution for us, the wife could bring them up and drop them to me when I'm done in the morning. I hope they will do the $50 with the payment plan. i think they did it last year. i spend money like crazy this time of year so the payment plan hurts a mush less. Downside is with the dumpster fire that was Camelback this year, Blue is gonna be busier. I cant for the life of me figure why people continue to go there. 2 Quote

In the pocono ski rant group there are alot of camelback regulars and alot of them have seen the light..some former camelback passholders got the peak to peak pass this year and getting Blue mountain pass next season. 1 2 Quote

I used both Buddy passes on my daughter during Christmas week. That alone was probably worth $150. And I got my bindings mounted for practically free using the GC. So I technically paid $499 for the skiing. Quote

Five honeybuns isn’t what it used to be..even if it now costs six fiddy considering the gift card. As noted earlier I like the installment thing was like $100 a month and that’s a great option for blue to have…especially considering back in the day folks didn’t have to purchase their season pass until the fall and with installment thing it’s paid off by fall and no interest or anything. 1 Quote
enjoralas Posted February 20 Report Posted February 20 I knowbthey don't matter to most, but at caveat is thst the perks aren't available until the pass is paid off in October, which means no free tix for the summer stuff. I'll use mine on the boys, so it's worth dropping the cash up front Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted February 25 Report Posted February 25 Here’s a good article on an Indy pass road trip from Salt Lake City to Missoula Montana. @PSUFrankenstein @toast21602 would enjoy. 1 1 Quote

PSUFrankenstein Posted February 26 Report Posted February 26 I'll check it out later - I may actually do a similar trip to @toast21602 next month or early April. Montana Snowbowl or something in Missoula is on Indy and isn't terribly far from Spokane/Northern Idaho. 4 Quote

Being there for a week should give me plenty of time to drive around, even if places are further away 4 1 Quote

It isn't on Indy but they have 50% lift tickets with a season pass/Indy pass/Ikon pass/etc .... I think Monday-Wednesday. 1 Quote

Some peeps even claim it killed Jumbo but I think jumbo has always been a fantasy and if you can point the finger its at Patagonia. 2 Quote
PSUFrankenstein Posted Monday at 07:03 PM Report Posted Monday at 07:03 PM Appreciate the insight @toast21602/ @Johnny Law...I think my plan is 49 degrees North, Silver Mountain, Lookout Pass, Brundage, and Tamarack - hopefully somewhere in Western Montana too. Lost Trail Powder Mountain and Montana Snowbowl both look cool 1 Quote
Johnny Law Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago Apparently the gondola at Kicking Horse broke off the arm and fell to the ground yesterday ! Not even skyeship has that problem. It seems that car was empty but evac was made more difficult as there is a 20 acre bear enclosure under the lift. I've checked this story like 8 times but no lie all I can find says there is actually a bear habitat under the lift. I'm a simple man so does anyone know why ? Quote

I don't know exactly why, but I do know and have seen the bear enclosure beneath the lift. I believe there's a natural cave there that Boo the Grizzly bear prefers and the Canadians set up the area to give it free reign of the place. I thought I read that there were people on the box that fell off, aboot a meter off the ground; nobody was injured. But people from the other boxes had to be dropped via line or saved by helicopter, that I thought was odd. Thinking about it now, maybe it was the people in the boxes over the bear enclosure that they pulled using the helicopter? 1 Quote
Schif Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago From Kicking Horse's trail map. Definitely marked for bears, but surprisingly surrounded by trails 2 Quote
