I will probably make a few trips to Roundtop this season. Some family in Carlisle that has a season pass, so Oi thought it would be fun to check it out. Anyone know their tailgating policy?  I’m not talking about grill and all, just sandwiches, snacks, couple of beers type of thing.

Don’t know their policy but have definitely seen people doing it there.

Will be there this weekend, probably Sunday, which will be the 4th opening weekend of a mountain I have attended this year.

Nice opening day at Roundtop. Got there at 740, big line at the lift already. Not much open- all the greens on skiers left, Upper and Lower Lafayette and Minuteman. They also had a small hike park. It’s a nice little mountain, seems to be well run. Looks like some good tailgating there, as well. I wouldn’t make a special trip out here just to ski, but I was out here visiting, and it was a fun day. IMG_1175.thumb.jpeg.77d56e60b869f465682c81c96948b5c7.jpegIMG_1176.thumb.jpeg.1ca023b9e471cc7dead3f2f6f116c138.jpeg

Real nice time yesterday on the two open runs from 12 to 4. Minuteman got a bit skied off on the headway but there was nice snow on skiers right, which is also where the softest snow was on the bumped up Upper Lafayette. This is better terrain than what they have open so far at JF.

The few times I've been to RT on the way home from the DC area, I've seen people tailgating.  Parking doesn't get any closer than it does there, though.  The place is nothing special but somewhere new is always nice.
