GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago Hey All, I’m back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. Slow drive up and I arrived at the lower lot at 724am and it was around 10 degrees under partly sunny sky’s. In the house were Atomic Jeff, Johnny Law, Oz, JFDan, Dirtwolf, PARidge, Nazareth Jay and a handful of others. OG Six pack first to challenge which was nice packed powder, a little firm, I skied that again and then razors which was a little firm at the top but nice packed powder in the center. Main Street was also very nice and I repeated that. Sidewinder and switchback were left ungroomed and I skipped those. I revisited challenge and some little cookies had churned up. I also skied nightmare Dreamweaver twice and it was decent after the first big turn..with a couple features set up. The sun rose brightly and it didn’t feel that frigid…now back at work like a dork and people to call back. 8 Quote

Popular Post RidgeRacer Posted 11 hours ago Popular Post Report Posted 11 hours ago Excellent day. Not much else to add from what @GrilledSteezeSandwichsaid. I liked the ungroomed switch, ungroomed side not as much but still fun. Conditions were excellent throughout. Even finished the day off with a run through blue baumer. The sun was a god send today because it was dang cold 11 Quote
mbike-ski Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago (edited) Great few pre-work runs, stayed on the groomers 'cept for a run through the ditch which was a hoot with some nice soft piles 1 hour ago, RidgeRacer said: The sun was a god send today On the drive up the mountain was a crazy rose color, pic not able to capture the color. Just after I took this I glanced in the rearview to see a brilliant shaft of light behind me, mesmerizing, but decided better keep my eyes on the road. Didn't think too much about it but on one the lift rides another guy mentioned he saw the same thing. Apparently a light pillar or light slant, seen some cool phenoms the last few weeks Edited 9 hours ago by mbike-ski 8 Quote
Popular Post Johnny Law Posted 9 hours ago Popular Post Report Posted 9 hours ago (edited) I'll know its time to roll over and die if a storm comes and I'm not half way to midnight. Beyond the skiing there is just something I love about a good storm. Storm nights the whole world gets silent and that which can't possibly get any more pedestrian becomes new and beautiful when cloaked in white. I got to Blue stupid early and from the drop it was boner city. Crowds were later than I expected and the wind was some how non existent. Everything was le tits even the ungroomed bouncy stuff. Main and middle of razors where absolutely mint. Do whatever the fuck you want kinda snow that feels like real actual skiing. The ditch was the best and stupid fun to make huge dumb slashy turns. Switch I landed flat and it stung me like two turns in and I still was big grinning coming out to main. I don't know that it's even the best snow I've skied at Blue this year, one morning with Atomic I recall being haul ass sea bass kinda snow but it's the whole thing that makes the snow day a snow day. Maybe I'll live to 100 but it will always be that surprise snow and they just announced your school is closed on the radio feeling. It was probably before then but since I came back from FL every day has been pretty damn good which is the longest stretch I can recall in the last couple seasons. JFskiDan Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Today was definitely a good day to play hookey. Everything was so good. But of course, people will find something to complain about. Check out mike reenocks comment. He would prefer to see some guns running instead. Idiot. 3 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted 5 hours ago Author Report Posted 5 hours ago I saw that comment, and I was thankful they weren’t blasting the guns.. 1 Quote
Johnny Law Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago If I'm them I don't see any reason to blow during the day unless the wind is cooperating, the next 5 nights are super cold and they can make as many piles as they want. 1 Quote

I don’t even find shoveling snow a chore. 1 Quote
momskeeztoo Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago I was actually there today on a holiday! No crowds really until about 11. I thought ROTD was Switchback. So nice they didn’t groom it, and it didn’t get scraped off early like Sidewinder did. Thought everything was in tip top shape, had lots of fun and lots of runs. 1 Quote
