I think it makes a difference on steeper terrain, yesterday I watched a boarder sit on his but and scraped the whole way down the chute.

Years ago I recall naturally formed moguls being tighter.

I used to associate boarders with a disrespectful attitude but yesterday I watched a boarder get of the lift a chug a beverage. I sort of watched him expecting him to chuck the can . He went over to the garbage can and threw it from a distance and missed. Ok he’s going to take off? Nope he took off his board walked into the woods and picked it up! I complemented him and told him he was a decent human being, he laughed. So I guess they’re not all bad🤪

I must have been out of it when I post this topic.  I have no recollection of posting this.

I think you were pretty stoned. Does that mean you don’t remember offering to pay for all the PASR’s season passes?

Very stoned last night and best I can do is accidently purchase season pass on company card.  I did that once before.  Honestly it should be considered wellness like a gym membership.

I’ll have to explore that with my tax guy 🤔

Snowboarders are the worst.

But really,  I don't care if a few mountains dont allow boarders.  Back when I was into BMX biking,  bikes were banned from a lot of skate parks so I'm used to it.  As long as I don't get banned from drinking beer with skiers in the Blue Mountain parking lot,  I'm good

Most of it is just for marketing now, dv doesn't matter and mad river more of the same.

I can see the argument to ride Alta but Alta is also all traverses. I'm not saying they can't but the high t on a board would suck hairy ballsack.

It’s 2025 and some ski resorts well only a few don’t allow snowboarders. Is that wrong or warranted? I’ll make some coffee all y’all talk amongst yourselves.

How was the coffee? I think it would be rad to ski at a resort where snowboards are banned. They are usually young whipper snappers blasting gangster music on loud speakers and sometimes criss cross the runs and get in my way. Plus the best is when those dang snowboarders push all the nicely groomed perder down the slope and then make it icy.

Does anybody really care? Having started snowboarding when no resort would allow you near the lift it was great to see resorts open up to snowboarding(mostly cause I didn't have to walk up the hill anymore). What really got to me was the sense of entitlement that most skiers had and the amount of hate thrown at you.Cause ya know snowboarders  scrape all the snow off,yet skiers use a technique called a snow plow.

Alta doesn't stand for Another Long Traverse Again for nothing...
Yeah, it torques the locals when rookie skiers can't even handle the traverses properly let alone the problems boarders would have with them.

Deer Valley on the other hand...

All marketing, they know what their clientele wants.

It gets as icy as anywhere for the reasons mixil cited, their people collector trail gets very firm on alot of afternoons at the steep sections like all mtns because most people are skidding, board or skis.

Yup. The time we were there the groomers were in pristine shape first thing but then deteriorated to boiler by the afternoon after the masses scraped off all the goods.
Just conditions with which all mountains and sliders have to contend.
