Popular Post RidgeRacer Posted March 2 Popular Post Report Posted March 2 Hey all. I'm back from from another fun day at Blue mountain the true mountain. Arrived around 7:20 to guns blasting on the lower mountain. I managed to get first civilian chair and skied challenge while most of the others skied p diz. Conditions overall were decent. Not great but definitely not terrible. A bit slow as lots of the mountain came with a skif of manmade on top. Cold but the sun felt nice today. The parking lot today featured not one but two bald eagles at one point flying next to each other. Nice blue bird morning. 10 Quote

Mixilplix Posted March 2 Report Posted March 2 (edited) It was a fun weekend. They did a pretty good job dressing things up things up.First down Side had the spice of flat light and uneven terrain.Switch was more flat light.Sorta had to trust what you couldn't see.Mostly lapped MS side as conditions were pretty consistant.Went back to Side after 9 an it had gotten pretty thick.New man made and the wind made things feel slow, but still was a feel good morning. It feels like patronage has started to fall off... Edited March 2 by Mixilplix 5 Quote
theprogram4 Posted March 2 Report Posted March 2 Today was much better than I thought it would be. Good to see a bunch of the pasrs this weekend. Good to see the guns on as well. Not crowded at all either day. 6 Quote
Johnny Law Posted Monday at 06:00 PM Report Posted Monday at 06:00 PM Rode with Atomic this morning, surprisingly big crowd for a Monday though not crowded. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good, they kept blowing last night which is hard to complain about but it did make for a generally hard surface. Eagle eyed Atomic spotted that they had 5 or so puddles on lower razors that was classic blue. Challenge and Side where best though with all the guns on nothing was better than a 5. Good base going and they were going at it hard particularly in the flats. 5 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted Monday at 06:04 PM Report Posted Monday at 06:04 PM Good they’re blowing gonna be in the 60s next week. It seems like they went quite a long stretch in February with limited or no snowmaking. 1 Quote
C1erArt Posted Monday at 07:05 PM Report Posted Monday at 07:05 PM Started on the quad. TCS, upper Main, and Switch were in good shape. Not sure what they did with lower Main. Ran a groomer without the back cord maker down? Left side wasn’t too bad. TCS was one of the best all year. Razors was spotty. Wonder if those puddles of ice on the bottom head wall was where the weekend gates were that they salted. Lazy was closed for some major blowing. 9 Quote
AirheadD8 Posted Tuesday at 12:46 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 12:46 AM Did a late afternoon drive by. TCS bumps got a refresh. I had a nice rhythm going then boilerplate in some spots. Main st was ok but lower main in the flat light was bizarre, almost like grinding a rail . Razors looked good but sucked, avoided the planet of the apes scarecrows on the big whale. The quad had a big white worm just after the loading area, the snow from peoples skis has fallen off forming a symmetrical hump. Guns were still going even though it was pretty warm. 3 Quote
