Timeless Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 Yea, unless the top is open, Hunter it is.... Hunter is only offering 1 run down to mid-station, Hellgate / 7th avenue and 1 lift to get back up (F lift) Who knows the best way to Belleayre from Stroudsburg, 84 -> 87 -> 28? or is there a better way? I guess I'd equate it to Big Pocono, without the runout at the bottom; an easy blue square. The upper half, above midstation, is a diamond run, though. according to their trail map, the top is a DD, the lower a D. Quote

We're taking some crazy way from his house, but he's alot farther north then you, but he's just north of 84. I think there is a more direct route. Quote

Ski Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 Up 209 to 84 Yup and yup. The back roads from Stroudsburg to Honesdale (which is where the good shortcut to Highmount, NY, 'begins') ends up slower than going out 84. The DD is a little steeper and longer than Rocket. Would that be a good comparison 'Mom? But from midstation down it's just a nicely pitched blue diamond, really. Quote

Ski Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 Twisty with 50mph speed limit signs, mostly. There are a bunch of small towns to get through and it's a tough ride without a map person, but def quicker than the major hwys. The ride from Stroudsburg to my house is worse than the ride going north of here. Quote

Belleayre will be just to the midstation Sunday, BUT you'll get a free all day/any day pass when you buy a lift ticket tomorrow. They are still 'planning' on the rail park being open tomorrow. Great deal for you guys., for sure---$35 gets you a ticket for tomorrow AND a free ticket for later. Edited November 19, 2005 by ski999 Quote
