skifreak Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 Just check blues cam to see if they blew. Quote
skifreak Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 I thought the same, Doug but sometimes the lights give off a glare creating an illusion of snow. Quote
BC Iron Works Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 im pretty sure thats what the plans are, though there rushing to, im pretty sure theyll be here thanksgiving nite blowing and installing the lift, id hope to see snow before that, youll see a good park at opening this year i hope Quote

BC Iron Works Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 i can give you this much, guns will go on tommorrow evening and prolly stay on for a long time thats all Quote
poconoceancity Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 As small as BC is they could have blown last night and opened up with one trail today. I and probably everyone on this board would be there on Saturday, even if they only had one trail open. Quote

Papasteeze Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 BC would be good.. I am dreading the drive to NY - but it looks like it is going to happen. Quote
VTmark Posted November 19, 2005 Author Report Posted November 19, 2005 If thier blowing snow at bc how pissed would they be if i hiked it for some runs? Quote
skidude Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 Be careful with that stuff...Trails that have been unopened adn have big piles of snow, usually don't ski too nicely.... And they would probably be ticked off...But you never know... Quote
BC Iron Works Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 umm considering ur skiing over some high power lines, water lines, and what not, not to mention that the piles wont be pushed out ryte away so there will be bare spots, plus ull get in trouble, security is there 24-7 anymore, and id rather deal wit security, cuz snowmaking are my boys and all, but there a different breed of human, they will not be too happy at all if they find u there, so in other words, dont do it, its not worth losing a pass or something Quote
tretiak Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 the quad is on at bc right now. Quote
Bear Creek PR Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 Ok guys, Here is the official word from Bear Creek. We attempted to make snow Saturday night, but it just wasn't the right condidtions. So the plan now is to start blowing snow later this week (when the temperature drops) and keep the guns on for a few days so we can develop a good base. I don't want to make any promises, but if everything works out, we theoretically could open as early as December 1st! Quote
VTmark Posted November 21, 2005 Author Report Posted November 21, 2005 are you guys plaing to open just kodak and the terrian park aging like last year? i loved last years opening. it was so quiet their. Quote
