lurker Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 That's awesome, I just watched a snow maker guy check the snow guns. Happy Day! I'm up here in Syracuse, NY today and its suppose to snow 4-8 inches overnight. I can't ski in it though, but who cares. Snow for everyone! Haha. Quote
pyro_boarder Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 I heard a humming coming from my computer, so I opened the web browser. And I saw snow! It's an awesome sight. I am happy now. Quote

steezy Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 Dude if only I wasn't stuck here in school I would drive up there and park, throwdown the tailgate and watch the snow being made. I should really get back to my work, lol lol Quote
Schif Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 Tailgating for snowmaking. That would be amazing. From the activity on the board it seems like most of us were just sitting around all night watching webcams. Next year we should have a party and all watch the snow being made!! Quote

parkbuilder Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 It's gonna be close, I feel pretty confident though that with these upcoming low temps in the teens/20's that someone is gonna open this weekend. Quote
poconoceancity Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 It's gonna be close, I feel pretty confident though that with these upcoming low temps in the teens/20's that someone is gonna open this weekend. Will they (shawnee) make the call by Thursday night? Quote
Papasteeze Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 The forecast looks promising... it's just up to staff and flipping a switch Quote
Luke Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 I'm pretty sure tonight we'll see the start of it all With these high temps barelly getting above freezing in the next week, CB should be blowing almost 24 hours a day. I think they could easielly open the mountain by monday... I think they're gonna wait till they have very good coverage though. Quote
mtnbiker99x Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 I'm hoping the cold weather is here to stay. I still Say first week in Dec for C-Back and BM. Looking at the cam the piles of snow are still there and that's a good thing. The NWS says it should switch over to snow after 12 p.m. I am a little skeptical of that, proll more like 3 p.m. Anyway low tonight is 22 so they should be able to make snow again the next few days. I would think an early December opening for all mountains in area is a fair guess at this point. Hang in there the cold weather is on its way! Check out Accuweather: http://headlines.accuweather.com/news-stor...ler=0&article=4 and NWS: http://www.erh.noaa.gov/ifps/MapClick.php?...x=127&map.y=121 Quote
Shadows Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 check out the webcam right now, laurel used to be completely covered so did the meadows Quote
