Shadows
so i just bought what it think is a great deal 2006 head M 3.70 skis with 2006 SL 100 bindings all for 170 plus shipping i know the bindings will probably be crap, but theyre not for me. this is a christmas present for my mom, and she doesnt ski really hard. just groomers. i would like to know pros/cons about the skis/bindings if anyone has anything to say. thanks alot oh, heres some pics not sure if those are EXACTLY the same ski as advertised, but its similar Edited November 27, 2005 by Shadows
Ski
They are the Tyrolia SL100's, correct? If so, they are hugely popular and sold with tons of beginner/intermediate packages. They are extremely light and a great binding for what you were buying them for.
AtomicSkier
Great choice! Your mom seemed like she really wanted to get back into skiing, glad you took care of that for her! I hope we see her at PASR days...

Justo8484
looks like a solid bet to me. i dont know much about that ski in particular, but the bindings will certainly work well for her. did you get the set with the carve plate or no? the skis look like they are in the monster line, which is designed to go anywhere and do everything on the mountain, so i think she's in good shape. Shadows
did you get the set with the carve plate or no? no, but then again this is off ebay, so who knows. i would bet no, is that a bad thing? im guessing its just a riser type thing. dont really need it
Ski
She'll be fine flat. Once she starts ripping up blue squares and laying them over, then she can start looking for extra leverage. But she'll get on this set-up and wonder why she hasn't been doing this skiing stuff more often. I'm so freaking jealous of all you people with skiing moms. mbike-ski
My head skis came with the SL-100's also, I planned to change them out but they have performed and held up very well and are still on the skis - with riser plates though. You can add them aftermarket when you get them mounted if you want Edited November 28, 2005 by mbike-ski
