Come visit us and carve the powder all day long!come carve the powder for the first hr then it will turn into hard pack and piles (which is a good tihng for me) Snow Covered Camel! We are currently getting bombarded by Mother Nature's snow flurries...the Camel doesn't mind, and neither do we! Well thats just going a little to damn far!! Ski
Ha! I just skied the 2 inch snowfall at Montage and was relieved to find mostly hardpack and ice. There was just enough powder to wipe the rest of the oil off from Saturday's snow at Tanglwood.
skidude
Ski that stuff was on my skis for atleast 1/2 a day after (didn't get a chance to wax them the night after)
Ski
I didn't have any base cleaner, so I tried to hot wax and scrape it out. That stuff was evil! In the spring, you get pollen on your bases, which looks bad, but isn't anywhere near as bad as that. I ruined two corks trying to wax between runs. Oh, well. skidude
Ski isn't base cleaner bad for race skis? Was going to hot wax but I ended up skiing it all off the next day. Then skigurl tried my SL skis and liked them so I am assuming I got all the crap (literaly and figurativly) out of it.
Glenn
Yeah there is no doubt that there was a lot of exagerration... but i was out there today and it stayed fluffy the whole day. It was slow but really soft... I wouldnt be suprised if they got 2 inches.

It dries them out, which is the opposite of what wax is for. That's why I don't have any, though it'd be better than that oil. The first warm day after a cold stretch uncovers all the crap in the snow. I could scrape off about 80%, but a lot was in the pores, looking really nasty. nick malozzi
useing "bombarded with" and "fluries" in the same sentence seems a bit oxy-moronic. but when ever have they been absolutely truthful?
skigurl
they did get at least 2 inches and the stuff on the bottom of the skis was nasty, but the pair i was on was clean by the time we left
