Justin aka NJ_wakeNsnow Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 So my girlfriend and I just sucked it up and booked it...5 days/4 nights in Killington 12/28-1/1..Then convinced my buddy to come with us and my girl is going to bring a friend for her, plus I think 2 other friends (a couple) of ours who we wakeboard with expressed some interest in coming up for 3 days or so..So we're stoked about getting an awesome vacation and getting away from work/bs and just shred for 5 days..We originally wanted to head up to Mt. Snow but everything was booked, so we looked @ Killi and found a place 2.5 mi. from the mtn..I like Killi anyway, so it should be a great time, and even more we'll have an awesome NYE for 2005! Â Â How about everyone else? Anyone taking a trip they are looking forward to? Quote
rods2lug Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 I'll be in Okemo for Christmas week. The wife and daughter and possibly the son in Calif. will be there. Quote

NJSkiFamily Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 Smuggler's Notch. And they need snow desperately.....the Madonna 1 lift still is NOT open. Â We're hoping third time is a charm. Two previous Christmas weeks have been awful (rain). Please, please, please no warm up right after Christmas. Quote
The_Public_Enemy Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 Lurker and I leave for Vail the day after X-mas. It's gonna be soooooo crowded, though still amazing skiing with how much snow they've been getting. Quote
hstove Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 whistler, bc from xmas eve to new years day. gonna be pretty sick. i hope it actually starts snowing before i get there though. and we're staying in a ski-in ski-out house, cuz my dads co-worker owns it. it looks so sick. im realy stoked. Quote
skidude Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 Don't know about you guys...But I'm looking forward to a week at CB after Xmas!!!! (with maybe 2 days at mountain creek for a race) Quote
Ski Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 That seems like the worst week to take a trip since prices are so high and all the kids are out of school. Â Yeah, I'm with you on that one. I seem to recall that some ski areas make 60 to 75% of their entire annual revenue during XMass week. Glenn's log cabin idea at WF sounds pretty good, though. I remember a few years ago when CB only had either Birches or King Tut open the whole week. Quote
skimom Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 Working hard most of Christmas week so I can support our habits during the less crowded portions of the year. Oh yeah, maybe up to the MC race. Quote
sibhusky Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 Lurker and I leave for Vail the day after X-mas. It's gonna be soooooo crowded, though still amazing skiing with how much snow they've been getting. And $81 a day lift tickets. Hopefully you've gotten some discount tickets. Quote
skierboi Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 ill be at camelback all week and mountain creek on the 28h and 29th probably Quote
Ski Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 Don't give 'em any idea, Doug. But I assume it's mostly because you only have 72 or so golfers on a course at a time, so tee times are much more valuable for THOSE types of people. Quote
Zonked Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 Thats awesome that you are going out to Utah for Spring Break. Where are you skiing? Â Â Not really sure..ha Quote
Philpug Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 I will be skiing Christmas eve and day at Kton. Quote
The_Public_Enemy Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 And $81 a day lift tickets. Hopefully you've gotten some discount tickets. Â We do, but the parents are covering it also. They call our trips out west my "incentive to do well in school." No good grades equals no ski trip out west. Quote
KrAzY K2 Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 I'm leaving for Killington on Thursday.. Skiing Friday & Saturday.. Coming home on Sunday. I'm so excited/pumped... It will be my first time out this season!!! Quote
