OutCold Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 (edited) Soooo...any guesses on when they'll open up the nile. I hope it'll be open by next weekend, any thoughts? Edited December 12, 2005 by OutCold Quote
stevePSSC Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 they usually dont open that side of the mountain till about a couple weeks into the season.. so im hoping this coming weekend or next we start seeing trails open up on that side Quote
LineSki Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 they might be able to open it this weekend. all they have to do is just open nile and julius ceaser i believe. Or whatever trail is to the right when you get off the quads because then it could just take you back to the base. Quote
Metz the Jersey boy Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 They're opening up near east tomorrow... slowly etching their way towards that side of the hill... Quote
steezy Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 They're opening up near east tomorrow... slowly etching their way towards that side of the hill... that is what i heard.............btw nice signature Quote
pyro_boarder Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 It looked like they had enough snow on little ceaser today to open it. Depending on how much snow is on nile mile, I think the could easly have it open for next weekend. The real question is "will they?" Hopefuly they will. Quote
Metz the Jersey boy Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 Thanks volkl... nice name... lol I think we might just see everything except some of the expert stuff open by next weekend... should be a sweet winter in camel-land. Quote
mtnbiker99x Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 Last year they opened Nile Mile before other stuff over there. I think it was Nile, The Pharaoh, Cliff in that order if I remember. Quote
Luke Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 Conditions page says Nile Mile will open on Friday That foot of snow really gave them a boost. Quote
Glenn Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 Nile Mile is like the Camelback version of Paradise or Lazy Mile at Blue? Nile mile is like the better version of paradise. Quote
Glenn Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 Paradise is one of the fastest green circles out there. 6,000 feet of pure bliss. Bragging about how fast you can go on a green is like bragging about beating up little kids, maybe a little less messed up though. That being said.... Nile is a better natural race course. There is 4 significant turns and a cool little drop at the end. Quote
NJSkiFamily Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 CB web site is saying Nile Mile will be open on Friday. Yaaaaaaaaay!!!!! Quote
skidude Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 Nile will open on friday (which means there won't be any death cookies on it saturday)...Raceway will open saturday I think. No snow being blown on pharow or cliff, tho the bottom 1/2 of pharow is having snow made on it. Quote
Metz the Jersey boy Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 Frankly, to me it doesn't matter whether I'm blowing down Nile Mile, or one of the front 4 at Stowe... Just as long as I'm pounding a lot of piste really, really fast. I'm planning on having one of the first runs down nile... see you all out there this weekend. Quote
Shadows Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 so the next significant trail to open would be rhodo, any news on that? Quote
