Bear Creek PR Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 Just want to let everyone know that NASTAR begins tonight, Wednesday. Registration starts at 6:30pm and racing takes place from 7-9pm. The cost is $2 for one run, $5 for two runs (plus a medal) or $10 for unlimited runs. Quote
Papasteeze Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 You guys ROCK!! Thanks for getting NASTAR opened so early! Wish you had done it last night though. I might suggest for those not registered to go to www.nastar.com and get your registration number a head of time. It makes things go quicker when you register to race that day. Also - create your profile and don't forget to select PASR as your Club team!! Are you still doing Tues and Wed nights the rest of the season? Quote
VTmark Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 im on my way! anybody wonna meet up i'll be in a pasr hoodie or a gray jacket. Quote
skimom Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 BC NASTAR ROCKS But, I can't go until sometime after the New Year. Quote
Coach Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 The Flying Ones are back. Thanks for the post as I was wondering where they were last night. Quote

Yup, we'll be doing it every Tuesday and Wednesday night until the end of the season. Quote
skimom Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 Trust BC to be the first ones doing NASTAR! First and foremost - in PA anyway. Quote
skifreak Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 Didn't RT open NASTAR first in PA last year? Quote
skimom Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 RT has a nice NASTAR course, but they are hours in the wrong direction. BC is close, easy and fun. Plus, they have Club Night one of their NASTAR nights (at least they did last year). Hope to see you there one of these Wednesdays, 'Freak! Quote
Papasteeze Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 BC works perfect for Tues and Wed nights. Ridge gets some gate training and timing that he doesn't get with his ski team and Steven gets to rip up an awsome park and I get to criss cross the back and forth doing the gaper thing.. The staff is always friendly and there is never a lift line. Quote
skifreak Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 Hope to see you there one of these Wednesdays, 'Freak! Nah, if I do NASTAR its going to be at blue because I have a season pass there. Quote
skimom Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 It's official. - the results are up. I don't see any of us on the list... 'Freak. BCs NASTAR is the most fun, ever. Quote
VTmark Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 yep im their 4th one down but for somereason the dates under 11/21/05 Quote
skimom Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 VTMark - Congrats on being the first PASR member to do NASTAR this season! Quote
Metz the Jersey boy Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 NICE! Nastar starting up this early? If CB doesn't open up the course soon I'm definitely going to be out at BC racing. Now pardon me while I go wax my skis.... Quote
Papasteeze Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 Go VT - GO !!! We will do our best to hit it next week. Quote
Ski Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 Didn't RT open NASTAR first in PA last year? Just some facts...BC opened NASTAR 1/18 last season, while RT opened 12/26. CB opened 1/19, although that was for the beer league; it's public course opened 1/22. Also, last season, 7 Springs opened 12/26. This season, RT opened their course 12/18. Will BC have certified pacesetters this season? Quote
mbike-ski Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 Cool, Blue is supposed to start up 1/5 - It'll be fun to go back & forth & compare courses! Quote
Papasteeze Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 (edited) BC makes it for a lot more fun when they have their more, how should I say? Personable Announcers.... For example: "And next up, with his hand corked flouro.... we have King Cole.... The ultimate resource in The Poconos for keeping everyones' facts straight, all the way down from his Hideout in the Hills, coming up to the starting gate now with his pumpkin on his shoulders.... Let's see how he does tonight!!" Good stuff!!!! Edited December 22, 2005 by Papasteeze Quote
Ski Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 It wasn't a diss. The earlier the better for everyone. Quote
Papasteeze Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 (edited) It wasn't a diss. The earlier the better for everyone. I didn't take it as one.. I just had a funny thought and thought I would point out one more thing that BC does a little better at your expense Edited December 22, 2005 by Papasteeze Quote
Ski Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 Oh...I never hear announcers if I'm racing. I guess I'm thinking about other stuff. Quote
VTmark Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 on my first run the anocer said " and here come Mark DiGiovanni repersenting Paskiandride and also the first snowboarder of the night." i first wounder how they knew i was on pasr but then i remembered that hole club team thing. Quote
