Stevo Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 It's probably galvanized. Very nice rail, and i think its cool that you're bringing it up to tanglwood. Nice work Quote
Gurp Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 (edited) probably stainless steel or aluminum if it didnt rust. Gotta be VERY careful when welding galvanized. Gives off very toxic fumes. Edited December 24, 2005 by Gurp Quote
adrian Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 From the bottom of the supports the the top rail is 10 ft horry shmokes on the diy job! Quote
Schif Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 Thats awesome. Its also pretty cool that T-wood is going to put it in. Did they pay you for it, or give you free passes or anything? Quote
toast21602 Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 Do you guys have something under the pvc like a 2x4 beam? If you just had the pvc supporting itself from just a few points it would flex too much and, being brittle from the cold, snap. If there is something stiff supporting it then you would have to stomp on it realy hard to shatter it. Also if the pvc is over probaly 3" dia. you probaly wouldn't have a problem either way. yeah its supported with plywood.. its pretty beastly and wont break unless somebody HUGE stomps on it. i think the diameter of each pvc is 5 or 6 inches on mine Quote

Blong131 Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 If i wanted to build a box rail, what is that plasticy type stuff that i need to use for the top sheet? anyone know where to get it? Quote
The_Public_Enemy Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 Props on that battleship lib. That thing looks sick. You guys gotta see the rail we're debuting soon in our backyard park. It's a twenty foot teeter totter rail! We installed it yesterday and are just waiting to blow enough snow so we can hit it. I took some pics of it today with my friend's camera so hopefully he'll send them to me so i can post them. We were also working on our 20 foot dragon tail today. Had to cut and weld some feet for it, plasma cutters are the best, haha! Quote

Lexan AKA Plexiglass. Just go to homo deopt and ask them for it. They have it, but it's kinda hard to find. Quote
