swdorsey Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 this will help everyone have a better experience in the park at all times and make it safer. first call your drop in and if people are waiting to hit a feature then wait youe turn dont snake. also if you are sessioning a feature walk back up where you dont obstruct other park users. if you want to learn to use the park start with the smaller one thats why its there. dont take kids through the park unless they are capable of hitting the features CORRECTLY aka not roll over the lip. dont ever hate on anyone fallin gif they try something new we all have to learn but do hate on people who shouldnt be in the park. explain how unsafe it is for them to be in teh way and point them to a new trail. dont go into jumps or rails at the same spot. this is how ruts are formed and it doesnt really make a difference where you take off. <- THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT CONCEPT. the only place that you should meet with your bros is at the beginning of teh park or way off to the side so your not in the way. always thank the park crew because without them the park would suck. along with that if you have a problem kindly ask the park crew to explain why something is how it is or to try and fix it. this is true for all mountains everywhere. if you obey this you will be a respected rider no matter what your skill level. plaese tell others in the park all the rules here and people will all be happy Quote
toast21602 Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 well said. i like when people laugh at me when i fall on shit. id like to see them try something other than sweet air off of the side of jumps and lips onto rails. Quote
nick malozzi Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 and be sociable. there is nothing worse then when you pull up the big group at the top of the park and you say hello or ask how everyone is doing and everyone gives u the evil eye and ignores you. i freaking hate that! i don't want to know your life story. just looking to keep things light hearted and let everyone know i'm a friendly guy. if everyone was a little more laid back and remembered that being in the park is fun then everyone will be much happier. don't act better then anyone. you should only compete against urself. push urself not others. TINY Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 well put but i am always the one to get snaked by the shitters who shouldnt be there and non of them know what drop means Quote
BadassBunny Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 (edited) 1 thing that really irks me - if u get down to the park n ur friend is dropping in from way higher up to gain speed [re: boardercross at Blue to hit the left side], n u tell everybody to move outta the way/don't go - n then they give u the 'who the fock are u?' look - then ur friend drops in screaming GET OUTTA THE WAY!!! ugh hate that. well said. i like when people laugh at me when i fall on shit. id like to see them try something other than sweet air off of the side of jumps and lips onto rails. hahahaha yesss! One time he fell on a 270 and this snowboarder who thought he was all badass screamed "FAGGOT!". That made me soo mad. I hate people like that. Quote

swdorsey Posted January 6, 2006 Author Report Posted January 6, 2006 spread the word and i agree 2 be chill with everyone in the park Quote
stevePSSC Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 spread the word and i agree 2 be chill with everyone in the park i hear ya on that.. but just posting on here wont do much cause most of us people here on the site know their stuff and know what to do and what not to do in the park.. i was up at cb today and i think just talking and meeting new kids in the park even if they arent good or alot better is just so much fun i just randomly was talking to alot of kids today and its just cool as hell meeting new people in the park so i think talking alot to other instead of just standing side by side helps too cause then you gain respect for others that was as well.. atleast thats what i think haha Quote

skidude Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Heres the problem guys... I would say just about everyone on this board knows basic park rules and stuff, its mostly the people that go skiing a few times a year, and don't really care what they do, or are just clueless about park rules that break them. preaching to the choir With that said, I must say that you can get sick air of the sides of the lil lips leading onto the rails Quote
romemadman Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 something that anoys me personally is when a huge group ogf little kids go one at a time they yell drop then go the next kisd waits till the kid infront of them has gotten all the way to the second to last feature to go i just find that kind of anoying i always yell drop so loud but the little kids who snow plow don the hill and get stuck at the lip of the jump and take 20 min to get off whil flatening the lip i think the problem is that most ppl don't know what drop means Quote
