kragan Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Anyone plan on being at Camelback Saturday? My bro and I will be there, we normally get there between 8:00 - 8:30 AM, but I am hoping to be there before 8:00 due to the snow and get some great fesh tracks down Cliffy! I have yet to ski/ride with anyone from this board and hoping to change that soon. If you see me there (blue and oragne burotn jacket, blue quicksilver pants, blue helmet, blue goggles) please give me a shout. Saturday I will be on my board and Sunday skiing. We stay on Stevenson Express lift most of the time. Hope to see you there! Quote

I definitely want to get out and take some runs with you guys sometime soon. Quote
skidude Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 I should be there. Silver helmet, silver goggles, bright orange boots... Quote
skimom Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Put me down as likely for Fri PM, possible for Saturday, and likely for Sunday. If you don't know what I look like, look for the Mum on NASTAR at start time. I am usually the only Mum on race skis. Although SL P50's, are likely, it's possible I'll be on Atomic Bode GS skis. NJSkiFamily Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Skimom, Me and the 'lets are planning on being at CB on Saturday. I saw on cb's mb that they are running a college race and will "try" to do NASTAR with a late start. So we'll head over to raceway around 2ish. Now for the stupidest question this season.......will it be crowded on Saturday during the heaviest snow time? I'm thinking people might wait until Sunday once the storm subsidies. Best quote I've read on this storm.....accuweather says we should check our milk and bread supplies. Quote
skimom Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 The powder fanatics will wait for Sunday. And the weather advisory will keep timid drivers home. So Sat could be fantastic, crowdwise... I have races at another mountain Sat, but will go to CB instead if it looks like major driving problems in the afternoon. I also heard 1:30 or 2 PM for CB NASTAR Saturday, with a chance they will cancel it altogether. Maybe Kragan will join us for a few NASTAR runs? It's all in fun... Quote
Skizilla Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 For some reason people clear off the mountain when it snows. Go figure. More for the hardcore!!! Quote
NJSkiFamily Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Yeah, I'm worried about driving home on Saturday. We'll call it on Saturday morning. Maybe the heaviest snow will come Saturday night. Quote
Skizilla Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Reports are calling for the heaviest snowfall on Sat night!! Supposed to get an inch or so more Sunday AM. I'm losing it right now. All I can think about is hitting the Asp with some nice fresh stuff on it. Sunday should be awesome after the natural snow mixes with what they are blowing on the mountain now. It'll make up for last weekend! Quote

NASTAR is very tempting .. but most likely I will be on my board Saturday and I am not sure how I would handle doing gates. Plus, my bro likes to get out of there before noon because we have people back at the house waiting for us. We are going to be trying for first chair Sunday morning wish us luck!!! i think that next year I will be doing NASTAR for sure, I miss racing ... it's amazing how much better of a skier it makes you. Glenn Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 I'm gonna try and get out on sun morning, but sat is a no go. Quote
