jveix33 Posted February 12, 2006 Author Report Posted February 12, 2006 I like lineski's idea because it doesn't leave the hole on the top. Although both would work. Man I am sooo stoked for tomorrow with all that powdery goodness. Thanks for all of your help guys, you helped a ton. peace Quote
jveix33 Posted February 13, 2006 Author Report Posted February 13, 2006 Still working on it. I was too busy up at bear creek on sunday haha. My friend got a concussion and he's out for the season so he'll probly help me out with buying materials so he can ski up at my house. Bear Creek was sick 15" of powder. Quote
tyler franks Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 does any one kno if i put like metal flashing on a 2x4 or 2x6 will it slide good?? Quote
VTmark Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 deponds on the metal. guurp know more about it. and im shure parkbuilder does too. pm them. Quote
LineSki Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 you probably could and it would slide alright. what excatly is flash metal? you mean like sheet metal? I think that would slide pretty well if you have a small amount of it like you said on a 2x4 or 2x6 Quote
pyro_boarder Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Aluminum might be too soft, but I can't be worse that pvc. It sounds like a good idea as long as the flashing is thick enough. Flashing is fairly thin sheet metal that is used to keep water out of things like where you roof meets the chimney or dormer or stuff like that. I think it usualy comes in about 1ft wide rolls and is reletivly inexpensive. Quote
LineSki Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 I thought thats what it was. And dont go knockin pvc rails, I stand by them. They are so cheap and slide fine, you just have to get the right kind of pvc Quote
toast21602 Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 i agree. pvc can be great. its cheap, and can bend without heating it like steel. much easier to work with. Quote
Stevo Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 Metal's where it's at for me, but if i couldn't get any, i'd look into pvc. If you do use flashing, make sure you wrap it around the whole 2x6 so there's no chance of catching. Quote
