setagehtta Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 I heard from ridecamelback.com that they sold out on Sunday?! If you were crazy enough to venture out, how long did the lines get? I checked the webcam one time this weekend and I swear it was difficult to see where the snow was with all the people there. To me that's not fun. Quote
LineSki Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 I dont doubt sunday, when me and my friend rolled up at 6 the cars leaving were backed up to the LOFT. and still clogging up. But we didnt wait in line once after that. Quote
Shadows Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 how could they sell out? cant they just print more tickets? unless this has something to do with maximum capicity and what not. Quote
Schif Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Whats the maximum capacity of CB? How long would the lines be at that point? I'd sure hate to be there that day. Quote
kragan Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 I was there Sunday morning by myself. Hitting the "singles" line made things a little easier, but by 10:30 things started getting bad. I stayed over on the Stevenson's lift which normally takes longer to crowd up, then I hit the Raceway lift, then bailed. I got about 16 or 17 runs in, mainly Cliffy, Pharoa, and Raceway. As I was leaving the line of cars coming in was pretty crazy. I am glad a left when I did. The only way to do CB is early morning, I wish they opened at 7:30 like Blue ... oh well. Quote
lastduchess113 Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Or late... I'm a big fan of the night skiing, and I hardly ever hit lines there at night. Quote
Skizilla Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Saturday was pure insanity from 11 until 7PM or so. Sunday it started around 10 and went until 8. Payback for the low crowds during NYE, Super Bowl, and MLK weekends I guess. The mountain really needed the business though. The slopes were not that packed at all until 11 or so both days. Seems like people were getting up there late and crowding up the parking lot and lodges instead of the runs. Sunday at 12:30 the west lodge cafeteria had lines that went out past the cashiers on both sides. Haven't seen that all season. The runs held up pretty well despite all the traffic. Sunday night it was pretty good night skiing. Anyone head out there yesterday?? How was the lot, lodge, and mountain? Wanted to get back out there myself but I was totally spent. Guess that's a good thing. Quote
skierboi Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 (edited) i was there yesterday, the snow was really good, not that crowded, pretty low lift lines, lodge from what i ssaw wasnt that bad, the lot was pretty bad up at the main place, but i parked at the glen lodge, and it was empty there Edited February 21, 2006 by skierboi Quote
Skizilla Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Smart idea. It seems like the Glen Lodge is the best kept secret. Missed the pig roast on Sunday. Quote
ole2planker Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 i parked at the glen lodge I've never parked there before, but I may do it because of the positive comments here. Do they sell tickets at the Glen Lodge? Quote
4 more wars Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 Thanks they sell them at the Sunbowl lodge, not the Glen. but ONLY on weekends and holidays, and not even MOST weekends... mainly when it's a packed holiday. Quote
ole2planker Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 Thanks for the clarification. Quote
