Bobert540 Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 (edited) Well after all these years skiing and talking to my co-worker at BC she convinced me to try out nastar. I am a bit nervous, but I am looking for any input/pointers for a first timer. I will be on my twin tips cause i have to get my blizzard slr's remounted to my boot. So I will be rockin the 1080's with minimal edges lol..see everyone tonight..thanks in advance! Edited February 22, 2006 by Bobert540 Quote

Keep doing it and track your results on your profile on the nastar website. as your skiing skills improve so will your racing skills. It is a great program for everyone from the beginner to the expert. The key is to race fairly often throughout the season to offset the variables in the way the handicap pace set is determined. I guarantee that if you are determined to get a little faster through the course each time you race and you do 10 days over a season you will see improvement. Last year, Nastar turned Ridge into a bonafide racer and in the course of one year got an invite to the nationally sanctioned state races with a little bit of training but mostly only self determination.
