could you imagine if the weather patterns were opposite? like out west, they get all that moisture from the ocean and they create huge dumps. what if we got all the moisture from the atlantic? and it dumped here on the east instead of in the west.

 

aside from all the other major effects, it would be pretty cool

That would be the case if the Jet-Stream went east to west instead of west to east...

And it would require the elevation to be a lot higher out here.... the rocky mountains are much newer mountains than the appalaichans, and are therefore a lot bigger and less worn.

Same. That's where I plan on living. Or somewhere where there is a hell of a lot of snow. I went to utah on a ski trip when I was like nine, couldn't really appreciate it as much as I can now. Wasn't into freestyle then too. I can't wait to get back there.

If we ever got that much snow on the east coast, you wouldn't even move, nothing on the east is steep enough to handle chest deep pow.. And there would be no BackCountry. It'd be nice to have that amount of snow though, and it's alot better then the fake.
