toast21602 Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 is this actually going to be judged on style or who can huck themselves without style the most like ever other competition this year? Quote
Bear Creek PR Posted March 1, 2006 Author Report Posted March 1, 2006 The competition will be judged on the following three criteria: 1. Overall Impression 2. Trick Attack (variety/difficulty/execution) 3. Technical (take off/landing, amplitude, speed) Each competitor will get two runs and the best combined score wins. Quote
Jer Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 wish i would have know about it a few day ago. Quote
i wear my gogs LOW Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 dont combine scores best of 2 runs should count look at all the pro contests no scores ever get combined its always best of 2 it gives you a chance to still do good if you fall on one of ur runs cause with that format ur screwed if u fall on one Quote
toast21602 Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 even though i wont be there.... i agree. its never combined score. that pretty muich says that if you fall once you are done. best of two is the way to go. thats how all the other comps were... dont change it now. also, please judge style. you cant give the same score for somebody who throws a 5 with a grab and a regualr 5. that has the way it has been all year. the judges need to start recognizing that shit. i wear my gogs LOW Posted March 2, 2006 Report Posted March 2, 2006 common Bear Creek PR we need some info if this thing is still on i would rather have it on since the weather is gonna be better later Quote
Bear Creek PR Posted March 2, 2006 Author Report Posted March 2, 2006 (edited) Ok guys, here is the info. We are considering postponing it. Chuck (who runs the comps) just got in a few minutes ago. We're going to take a look at the forecast, check out some other possible dates and get back to you with a final decision within an hour. Also, the judging criteria I posted earlier is not correct- your score will be determined by the best of two runs. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks, Mary Edited March 2, 2006 by Bear Creek PR Quote
