beachiegirl2ski Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 is anyone going up to hunter this sunday for the mini world cup? does anyone know anything about this race? under the rules and regulations is sayes that you dont have belong to NYSSRA OR USSA. and racers who compete in the J4 RVW or J3 cup events are not eligible for this series. does this mean that any child can race weather or not they belong to a race team? Ski Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 Give Hunter a call, but I think I recall it's just a fun race they run for kids. It's held on the regular Nastar course and I think they had at least three of them last year. Hunter runs a lot of small races, like for the local innkeepers and local chefs, as well as a big race for firemen. I suppose you could also ask DMC on his Hunter MB: http://www.huntermtn.net/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=1 Quote

USSA means you have to be registered with them (as does NYSSRA) So unless you have a USSA number, you can't do it. Also the entry date is probably over for that. If you need more info on USSA racing, shoot myself or Ski999 a message Quote

Ski Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 Okay, here's the deal: The Hunter Mini WC is held to introduce kids to ski racing. You cannot be a USSA or NYSRA member and you can't wear a speed suit. It's a two run, dual course held on their NASTAR course. It's all about fun. Same day registration is $25. It's called a Mini World Cup just for the fun of it; they also name each of the three races after an actual World Cup event. Quote
