setagehtta Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 How much damage did this weekend do to the base? I'd imagine CB will be closing much earlier than anticipated. Quote
Ski Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Yeah, even Montage held up because they turned guns on when it was cold. CB is anxious to get those 'Beach features uncovered so 'Dude can climb back up in his lifeguard stand. The Weather Channel is forecasting snow showers midweek, then a possible snowstorm Friday, up here. High temps for Saturday are supposed to be 25 and 16 overnight...brrrrrr Quote

Glenn Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Is the coverage really that bad? Last time I was there was wed, but everything was edge to edge. I guess I'll see what it looks like tomorrow. Quote
Papasteeze Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Saturday was OK... Sunday, both Steven and ridge came back with base damage. Get your rock skis out! Quote
sexkitten Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Saturday was OK... Sunday, both Steven and ridge came back with base damage. Get your rock skis out! I don't have rock skis yet. Maybe Bob will let me use his 80's boots and giant skinny skis so I don't wreck my shit. Quote
Finndog Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Blue is not 100%! I was there on Sunday and conditions sucked. There are many bare patches on certain runs and a lot of "brown snow" on all of the runs. Unless we get some cold temps, I don't think we'll be skiing on St. Paddy's Day! Quote

There are many bare patches on certain runs and a lot of "brown snow" on all of the runs. Unless we get some cold temps, I don't think we'll be skiing on St. Paddy's Day! Cb is hurting a little. Still everytrail is ski able (possibly trying to save 1/2 the mountain for the party next weekend, possibly pushed the snow off it last night to put more snow on other trails). I was told by someone whos going to remain nameless, but isn't a low level employee, and was told this by the head managment. "A week ago they were talking about staying open until early April on the east side. Now they are hopeing they can stay open until the 26th" Who knows whats going to happen. Unless there going to be open mid april, doesn't make much difference to me. Quote
