Papasteeze Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 ^you just responded to your own quote The ultimate in post whoring.. BTW - There were kickers at steamboat that were only 15'-20 from lip to knuckle however, I considered the jump to be a 30-35 footer because that was the where the sweet spot is and that is how far it shot you with minimum speed. A person could have easily made it a 50 footer with room to spare on the landing!! Quote
sexkitten Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 What kind of Jello, cause I am cool with cherry but not lemon. I say Lemon Jello needs a pass cause it sucks and I don't want it wrecking my cherry....er...I mean cause it is unsafe and can hurt my cherry Jello. Quote
Stevo Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 but seriously, with out any argueing my point, have seen shit happen in side winder that shouldnt be happening in a terrainpark i.e. thos sick racer skiiers going off the side of rail lips m thats fun!! or the group of 50yearolds taking a group picture in the landing hMMM???? fun huh! or how about the im gonnpretend to hit stuff by turning away at the last second and creating a nice rut so tasty!!!! rob, you are the man! I agree with park passes but they are where you draw the line. Separate passes for trails is when it gets gay. Quote
Schif Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 (edited) Why not have a double black pass too, and maybe a blue pass. Better yet, make passes for different conditions of snow. You have to buy a whole new pass to ski bumps, or in the trees. Can I sign up for a jello pass? Mmmmm Jello......... I could really go for some lime jello right now, Bill Cosby style. Shadows Posted March 28, 2006 Author Report Posted March 28, 2006 this was a joke guys, for doug mainly but i guess people just went with it. Quote
jsong83 Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 god you people who start these polls are idiots. why would blue mt ever do this? then they would have to pay someone to enforce this by being at the top of the mountain to check the passes. and plus, theyll lose money also by not making as much because people who would want this will only get this and not have to spend extra to be able to ride the whole mountain. use some common sense before you come up with these stupid polls Quote
method9455 Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 yea but its like saying becuase you need a license to drive a car, you need a license to ride a bike. Sure they are both dangerous, but driving a car is a lot more dangerous than riding a bike so it takes some responsibility. Someone screwing around on a black diamond is for the most part annoying but harmless. Idiots in a park get people killed. Quote
DHarrisburg Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 oh, you people are so funny. doubting the size what the jumps used to be, based on what you saw last week. People have been claiming that Blue has exaggerated all season. There is not one spot on the park trail at Blue that would be sutable for a jump that big. I seriously doubt Blue has ever had a jump that was 70 feet lip to knuckle. At Jackson Hole a first time skier can ride the tram and ski corbets and kill themself.... Key word being themself. Park passes are needed to keep real park riders safe from people who have no idea what they're doing. BTW - There were kickers at steamboat that were only 15'-20 from lip to knuckle however, I considered the jump to be a 30-35 footer because that was the where the sweet spot is and that is how far it shot you with minimum speed. It's one thing to say that you went 30 on a 20 foot jump but to have mountains claim that they have 70 foot jumps when they're really only 45 is ridiculous. Quote

jsong83 Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 A Black Diamond pass is in response to a park pass. Park skiers want a park pass to keep the nubz out and some black diamond skiers want a black diamond pass to keep the nubz out...I plan on alot of stupid polls well then why not just ask if people would prefer to go to a mountain where there aren't any "nubz" i get annoyed of beginners a lot too, especially when idiots cant get off the lift and they have to stop the lift for 5 minutes while im dangling in the air but skiing and snowboarding with beginners comes with the territory. to ride an expert mountain is an oxymoron because beginners will always be there. i dont get upset with beginners on black diamonds or blue trails because theyre just trying to better themselves. dont be so selfish. share the mountain. the trails arent only for you to use Quote
