woodi Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 So today we decided that some...uh...product testing needed to be done. Lucky for us the lift at Targhee was now open sat/sun/wed for summer operation. So for only $13/person we got a ride to the top and an excellent lunch when we returned to the base. The lift opened at 10:00 and around 10:30 we piled ourselves and our skis on it and headed up (it felt weird carrying skis onto a ski lift). When we got uptop we took a short hike down the cat track then started scouting a route down off the back. After looking over a few frightening cornices with large cliffs below we found a nice open nicely pitched line that dumped into the drainage below. Chris tryed to snap a picture of me coming down this At the bottom we took a break and enjoyed the spectacular views Then we spotted a line collins had skied last winter and decided to traverse up the drainage to check it out. We got to the base of it and started booting up After reaching the top it was time to turn around and head back down (sorry for the crappy pics...we were having trouble with the action shots today) Collins Chris Then we booted up again and headed over the front...We were able to ski a rather enjoyable run in the trees almost all the way to the base where a tasty lunch and beverages were had.
