Schif Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 Ok, so I'm in the market for a new board and bindings. I had a burton board (ok) and burton bindings (terrible) previously. I'm thinking about getting away from burton a little bit here, but some of their boards don't look too bad. The hard part for me is that I need a big all mountain board, but I'm starting to get into park riding a little bit (mostly out of boredom at tussey). Just trying to get some more input on this situation. 6'0" 193lbs Size 12 boot Go! Quote

Schif Posted September 10, 2006 Author Report Posted September 10, 2006 Simple... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=7236070443 Oh you silly racers Racing actually seems pretty cool, but I think I'll stick with getting a new board and stealing my bro's skis when I want to go for 2 planks. skidude Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 Thats only one board....And its Volkl...Why wouldn't you want an alpine board if you had to be on a snowboard : haha whatever works Quote

Since I have some big feet like you i bought some Palmer binding risers that eliminate any toe you might have experienced. Quote
Dan- Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 Option, Lib Tech, Ride, and Rome all make solid boards. As far as bindings go. I like Ride, and higher end Burton bindings. Most companies produce wide boards to accomadate people with big feet. Search around the internet, and go to shops, and look around. And remember bring your boots to make sure they fit the bindings you buy. Quote
Tyler Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 i'd look at the rome anthem, but it might not be wide enough and u would get toe drag. The rome flag would be good, its wide and all mountain but will kill the park. Maybe the atomic alibi wide, that board is supposed to be the $hit. Or the option kevin sensalone wide. All of those are allmountain freestyle boards. Quote
romemadman Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 rome machine is a pretty wide board too an its a park and all mtn board Quote
adrian Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 your only burton binding experience was with a blasphemous metal heelcup so i officially nullify your review. move a bit up the line, and your eyes will be opened. Quote
LTDSNOWBOARDER Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 I dont get why everyone says burton bindings suck. Most of my friends have them and none of them have any problems. I have them and have never had any problems. Quote
