bigdaddyk Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 My point is that if they reduce the number of regular trails and say that they welcome anybody on the trails that they turn into parks, then that should almost be expected. Quote
meggles Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 The more I thought about it, turning other trails into parks helps add variety to the trails for us skiers who don't use the features. The approach mounds can also function as nice little jumps . uhh thats frowned upon...to say in the least...please dont..haha. but yea although we're gonna expect actions like that, its still not something to be advocated. method9455 Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 well as long as you don't do this: "The approach mounds can also function as nice little jumps" your fine. i don't care about people (who can ski under control) skiing through a park, watching, spotting, just riding. but when people start endangering the people using the park, I have a problem. And using the ramp for a rail is one of the things that endagers riders becuase it puts ruts in it that are perpendicular to the way we are using them, and it wears them down. So we have to jump higher, and have more things to catch and edge on/get thrown off balance from. And considering its as we're about to launch off onto a 20 or 30 something foor long piece of metal a few feet off the ground, anything that makes the approach less smooth is to be avoided. Quote

method9455 Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 Yea sarcasm doesn't translate well on internet boards, oh well Quote
bigdaddyk Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 Maybe the icon would have been a better choice. Quote
