jhartley Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 for anyone who has seen it...how long would u say the top flat part of the swingset is? and are those rails in the pics gonna be the majority of the ones that are on the hill or does blue usually throw out some regular boxes and standard metal rails? if i can hit a couple jumps, some mellow wide boxes to learn new stuff on, and that swingset, i'd be a pretty happy man. snorovr Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 From what I understand there is gonna be a good amount of your smooth flowy single and double barrel rails along with some flat stock rails to go along with the swingset, s box, and bus. The top of the swingset is pretty long. I'm not a great estimate maker but I'd say its like 25ft? Quote
Stevo Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 Hahahaha...that new trail map was funny. Paradise park would be sick though. How do you take a freaking lift out of storage? Where do you store a lift in the first place? That made me laugh too... Actually, i'm quite sure that blue has the old lift set aside somewhere on the mt. I could be wrong, but i know for damn sure that they have all of the chairs sitting up in the top parking lot (the service road that leads to the warehouse, they're set aside up there close to the old groomers/snowguns. for anyone who has seen it...how long would u say the top flat part of the swingset is? Yeah, probably about 25-30 feet Blue has new pics up, but i can't post the pics for some reason.... Quote
method9455 Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 Well where are they? The blue site or their myspace or what? Quote
nick Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 The new pics are on blues website in the picture of the day thing or whatever. The one picture shows how big that swingset box actually is, its pretty freakin huge. Quote
Schif Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 my roomate just bought a remote control helicopter, we've been ahving way too much fun The swingset actually looks pretty cool from that pic on the site. The only concern I had was that rainbow boxes are usually wayyyy too steep at the beginning and end and i've got to jump off 5 feet early to land. That doesn't seemt o be a problem so this should be awesome. Quote

sexkitten Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 I'm glad they're saving the old challenge chair. Challenge was the first Double Black I ever skied and I remember taking the Challenge Chair for the first time in middle school and thinking no way am I doing that..I'm hitting Sidewinder or Tuts lane but I eventually got the balls to ski Challenge with it's steep mo-fo headwalls. Did you fall? I fell twice my first time and it was really hard but once it was done I felt triumphant. I guess I should thank Bob for making me do it. Quote
Rob Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 wow the cbox is gonna be weirdddd....its like almost banked the wrong way Quote

Shadows Posted December 3, 2006 Author Report Posted December 3, 2006 how is that dumb? you dont actually drink it. shut up...youre just jealous im gonna be a hot shot bartender. spinning flaming cups and shit, oh yea Quote
toast21602 Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 shit, my bad, i meant that shows how the 21 year drinking age is dumb, i dont think its dumb you have to be 18 you will think the drinking age of 21 is dumb until you actually turn 21 and understand the responsibility that is involved. the only valid argument to lower the drinking age is the whole fighting for your country thing. tretiak Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 Last year I worked comet 2 days and challenge 2 days. Im hoping to get a bottom of the mt lift. I hate the top. what days did u work comet, i worked them on the weekends at nite and sometimes pulled a double if i needed the money badly Quote
method9455 Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 I can see the drinking age being 21/18 from both sides. I agree that the responsibility necessary is beyond what a hell of a lot of 16 and 18 and yes 22 and even 40 year olds have. That being said the drinking age is legally 21, but in high school we could get alcohol easily, it was mostly just difficult to find when/where you can drink it. In college you can get/drink it without fail as often as you want. So the reality is that there is a huge amount of underage drinking anyway, so what is the best way to deal with it? I'm not sure what the answer is. When I was in high school I was all for lowering it, because I drank and my friends drank and we never had many problems. But now that I'm in college I've met so many people who aren't as responsible as my group of friends at home, who just should not be allowed to get drunk, that my opinion has changed a lot. I'm not sure what the answer is. All I know is that the age should be standardized across the country so people don't border hop. We're about 2 miles from MD, 10 from NJ, and 20 from PA at the university of delaware. If the drinking age was 18 in one of those states there would be so many kids drinking and driving to get to bars, it would be completely unsafe. Quote
slayed Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 what days did u work comet, i worked them on the weekends at nite and sometimes pulled a double if i needed the money badly Im not sure what nights I worked, but Im sure we ran into each other.
