Schif Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 Schifdawg you'll still be making turns.. I don't doubt that, its just up to the quality of the turns. If its going to be bad i don't even think I'll mount my new bindings yet. Quote
Dan- Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 (edited) I definitely have a few fresh gouges from over the weekend..no edge damage though It looks like Vermont could get a snowstorm Friday evening into Saturday....this is what I saw on the Burlington forecast discussion.. HAVE GONE CLOSE TO A MODEL CONSENSUS...WHICH WOULD RESULT IN LOW TRACK JUST SOUTH OF NEW ENGLAND FRI/FRI NITE. THIS SCENARIO WOULD ALLOW FOR ENOUGH COLD AIR TO ADVECT INTO FA FOR A MAINLY SNOW EVENT NORTH AND MIX TO SNOW SOUTH. HAVE GONE WITH HIGHEST POPS (LIKELY) IN SRN/ERN PORTIONS OF FA. DRIER AIR WILL RETURN LATE FRI NITE/SAT AS LOW DEPARTS AND HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN...ALLOWING FOR SOME PARTIAL CLRNG SATURDAY. SHRTWV AND ASSOCD SFC TROF WILL APRCH FROM GRTLKS SUNDAY BRINGING A CHC OF SNOW SHWRS...MAINLY TO NRN NY. Stowe and Jay are gonna benefit from this one big time. Edit: And yeah, alot of us have made turns and our seasons have started... FINALLY Edited November 27, 2006 by KnuckleDragger Quote

Philpug Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 This week is going to be marginal, it has been so warm now, then the temps will drop straight down on Friday, wait a week, it will be much better. Quote
Philpug Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 Phil I was actually looking for you at Killington this past weekend but I didn't see you.. Other commitments for the past and next two weeks. Will be at Stowe the 15-17 then at Kton over Xmas and New Years weekends. Three weekends in a row driving to VT will be enough for me. If I am to add a 4th, it will be in January . Quote
Philpug Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 Weekend commitments during ski season is My next weekend commitment is my sisters wedding in August. Definitely post a report about your Epicski clinic at Stowe. Hopefully Stowe gets a few feet of snow between now and then so they have more terrain open than a few intermediate manmade routes. Stowe really shines when there's lots of natural snow...my favorite mountain in the east. Will do. I am sure there will be a huge thread. Quote
